Facts. He had the one big game against BAMA, but other than that he's meh against good teams.

Joe Burrow had games in 2018 of the following: 45.8, 50.0, 44.1, 57.2, 55.9, 50.0, 57.1 and 51.4%. His season percentage was 57.8%. How did he turn out?

Joe Burrow wasn't headed to the draft while struggling to complete 50% of his passes against teams with a pulse.

I wouldn't use a first round pick on either Trask or Jones

Neither one of them will be anything special in NFL. I would take Jones over Trask though. A lot of QBs would have been great in Bama’s offense this year.

His completion percentage literally got better every year in college, while his YPA also increased every year.

2018) 65.2
2019) 65.8
2020) 69.2

2018) 8.3
2019) 9.0
2020) 9.4

Career completion percentage of 66.6%

None of this is particularly impressive for a guy the media has been trying to convince us is God's gift to football for the past 3 years. It's not bad. It's just not anything special.

Trevor Lawrence is heading into the NFL Draft while having only not completed > 60% of his passes in one game during the 2020 season...against VT.

Exactly. He was 12/22 for 195 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 interception against 4-6 Virginia Tech in a conference where not a single team won a bowl game.

You've heard that Trevor Lawrence is the "next best thing" so much that you just believe it now. Dude played in a weak conference and was never the best quarterback in any season that he played.

What was particularly special about Andrew Luck’s stats while he was at Stanford?

TL had more touchdowns, yards, and a better rating while only having a 1% difference in completion percentage.

It appears to me people are looking too far into stats.

You’re literally changing the goal posts every time you post.

vs Miami: 70.7%
vs Notre Dame: 69.4%
vs OSU: 68.8%

Wait, they didn’t have a pulse, did they?

You shouldn't.

Any team expecting Trevor Lawrence to come in and start is going to be in serious trouble.

Other than his size, what about him makes you think he's going to be a great NFL QB?

ETA: Deshaun Watson is head and shoulders better than Lawrence. Lawrence is big, fast, takes a ton of unnecessary hits and throws up prayers in hopes of his WRs bailing him out.

It works in college. It won't work in the NFL.

The best pass defense among those was Notre Dame at #34.

Deshaun Watson, during his 2016 season, only completed 55.9% of his passes against Auburn and 50.9% against Troy! Dude must be trash in the NFL!

Patrick Mahomes only completed 50% of his passes against Iowa State in 2016! Dude must also be trash in the NFL! Only 59.1% against Oklahoma, too! Trash!

Both seasons before they were drafted in the 1st round.

Yeah I'm saving this and at the end of next season I'm gonna bring this back up b/c I have a feeling this will be one of the most epically wrong takes ever on here, and that's saying something. Just horrific.

But you'll probably never own it

Neither Houston or Kansas City was as bad as the team Lawrence will land on.

He will be asked to do much more, much earlier.

Neither one of them was the #1 overall pick either.

Save it.

You're a fan of two woefully underperforming teams who probably can't even tie his own shoes.

So that makes him not a great QB prospect?

Big yikes.

Who said he wasn't a great prospect?

Jamarcus Russell was also a great prospect.

Seems like they should have been. They should’ve gone #1 and #2.

Appears teams won’t be as stupid this time around.

You. Literally. “Meh.”

Also, Lawrence is a great NFL prospect. Best qb in the draft. So it shouldn’t be that hard
