Fields is not better than Jones from the pocket. It's not even close.
No but he's more mobile and has a higher ceiling.

The dude who can't complete 50% of his passes when he plays decent teams?

Glad you're not a GM or talent evaluator.
We'll see, but Fields and Lawrence both have work to do reading defenses, staying in the pocket, and distributing the football.

That's questionable, but he's definitely more mobile.

I also think Fields could be successful on more teams than Jones. Jones will have to go to a certain type of team to succeed.
At worst though, I see him being a career backup like McCarron. Thats at worst.

Recently, SoG came along and posted a link that shared info about Jones' throws into tight windows. His stats were excellent. People keep repeating what you just posted and it's just not true. Yeah, he had receivers open at times, and others he threw receivers open and put the ball where only they could get it.
Sorry. Not buying.

mac jones will end up the best qb in the draft

Mac Jones as a first round pick...
He completely abused that elite Georgia secondary.
Why are you laughing?

no tight windows
This shite again?
Fine. I'll prove another idiot wrong.
quote:
And all of this success isn’t entirely because he has open throw after open throw. He's actually thrown into a tight window on 15.2% of his passes this season, a rate that is about four percentage points higher than Tagovailoa's last season and is nearly double that of Justin Fields (8.3%) this year. Oh, and Jones has also been the most accurate passer on tight-window throws this season — by a large margin.

What other moronic shite are you flinging against the wall tonight?

Take it easy, you can't expect a Georgia fan to know anything about good quarterback play.

College secondaries vs.pro secondaries.
This ain't that hard.

I think Jones is the best QB in the draft. Fields is physically elite but outside of the Clemson game this year, he's been pretty mediocre. He may turn into a monster but he's not there yet and I don't think he'll ever get there. Sunshine is also an overrated passer. If Meyers plans on running the same type of offense that he did in college, Fields will be the number one pick. The Jags will continue to suck.

No chance he takes fields.
Furthermore, it’s not just his decision. No GM alive has the balls to not take Lawrence number 1.
Also, Lawrence is a great NFL prospect. Best qb in the draft. So it shouldn’t be that hard

Well let's see, fricktard, how many college QBs throw against pro secondaries before they actually make it to the NFL?
Mac Jones lit the frick out of the SEC, Notre Dame and Ohio State.
Who did better?

Fields may grow into being a great NFL QB, but he's a project imo. Imo, both he and Lawrence are greatly overrated. Not saying they aren't good and aren't capable, but they aren't nearly as good as people say they are.

I’ve read the same things about Myles Garrett, Saquon Barkley and others in the NFL. “ThEy DiDn’T pLaY iN tHe SeC!!!!”
Trevor Lawrence will be a great NFL QB.

Nah.
His playing style will have him out of the league in 5 years.
Inaccurate QBs who throw their bodies around don't last long.
