Seems like a sect over LSU prefers the "everybody is scared of us" explanation over "none of the bluebloods are retarded enough to get caught on FBI audio and pay players out of a joint bank account with your wife" explanation.

One makes you look like a victim who is a badass and the other makes you look like... well... complete retards.

Sure it is. That's why LSU is taking it to civil court and putting all those involved under oath on public record in order to prove it is false. That's what LSU wants. More chances that the NCAA can get additional evidence for free without a subpoena.

Can anyone name one SEC program that’s won anything within the last 40 years that hasn’t at least dabbled in paying players? Pruitt did pretty much the same as Wade, the only difference is that he didn’t have the sense to pay a quarterback

SDS article about the embezzlement and laundering conviction

An LSU booster who pleaded guilty to felony wire fraud and money laundering charges in June has been sentenced to 33 months in federal prison.

U.S. District Court Judge John W. deGravelles sentenced John Paul Funes, the former president and CEO of Our Lady of the Lake (OLOL) Foundation in Baton Rouge to also pay $796,000 in restitution, ESPN reported.

He reportedly embezzled more than $500,000 from a hospital foundation and gave some of the stolen money to the parents of two former LSU football players. Federal prosecutors alleged Funes defrauded the foundation, which raised money for Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, from 2012 to September 2018 by submitting bogus payment authorization vouchers and check requests, including checks to himself.

He wasn't paying for recruits, he was just straight up stealing.

So, this asshat steals and launders money to numerous people, including parents of FORMER players, and somehow this is an LSU problem.

Still waiting on evidence showing the paying players from a scumbag...

Did you not read the part about paying recruits parents? I’m pretty sure that was covered in EVERY link I posted. That he was laundering the money to pay recruits parents.

They were not former players at the time the money was given.

And he just happened to snag the parent of an LSU student-athlete in his theft scheme.

Listen, I don't think the OLOL case should even be mentioned in the NOA or the Beckham piddly stuff. But there has been a disturbing pattern of people either directly or indirectly associated with LSU who acted like they just DGAS about NCAA rules or regulations.

False.

He was laundering money through player's families.

Not laundering it to pay them.

You seem confused.

Half right.

Vadal Alexander was still playing but Rohan Davey had already retired from the NFL by the time his family got involved with Funes.

Neither was a case of LSU attempting to break NCAA rules but both were violations by the letter of the law, despite LSU itself not being involved with either.
