golfer, i was on the field for the 2006 game up there. that was the shittiest field turf i had stepped foot on, footing is always an issue there. obviously it's an issue for both teams.

new turf since you were there in 2006...

Funny, Cobi Hamilton didn't seem to have any problems with it.
The same turf has been down a couple of years with nary a problem.

the man said BOTH teams had a problem with it and has already said hes not making excuses. Seems the only butthurt people in this thread are Arky fans because they feel LSU fans dont respect them.

I think you mean AT&T Field at War Memorial Stadium.
Couldn't stop laughing at the AT&T logo on the field.

I thought that they installed new turf within the last year, but I just looked it up and I was wrong. They still have the FieldTurf that was installed in 2006, and they just repaired/replaced some bad sections of the turf and made some improvements like brighter yardlines and new text in the endzones.

Seems like players for both teams weren't getting the best footing all day.
I've noticed that players seem to have more slips and footing problems when playing in WMS than in RRS. I'll admit that I'm no field turf expert and I do have a bias towards playing all games on campus, but have never been a fan of the turf in the Rock. It just seems like guys have a hard time staying in control of themselves when they plant their foot to make a cut or try to change direction too quickly.
I could be imagining it or downplaying the same effect on other fields, but it's been my observation as well.

The wires for the cameras were removed during the game because of issues with kicks hitting them. And how many stoppages did we have because they can't get the playclock to work? To hell with that POS stadium in Little Rock, we need to play in Fayetteville.

I don't want to see any team play on that field. Wish we played all our conferance games on the Hill, and play the OOC games at LR.

If it was the other way around and it affected Arkansas, we'd never hear the end of it.

This is not LSU's decision to make, get over it.

All but a few selfish, Central Arkansas Big Money fans agree with you. WMS is a dump, an embarrassment to the U of A and costs the Hogs tens of thousands of dollars in revenue by playing there. Also, K. Herbstreet tweeted that had the game been played in Fayetteville, Game Day would have likely been there.
In the short term (3 years or less) I think you will see a move to bring all SEC West games to Fayetteville and play one of the East opponents in LR like Vandy. In the long term either all games will be played in Fayetteville or all Conference games will be played in Fayetteville.
Arkansas can't afford to play 2 "home games" 3 1/2 hours away, in a shite hole stadium, making tens of thousands of dollars less in revenue. This has been an ongoing battle and is referred to as the GSD (Great Stadium Debate) between fans who want all games in Fayetteville and those who what to keep some in LR.

I never said it was. But why does it have to be the LSU game every freaking year? That's like us not playing you in Tiger Stadium and opting to play at the Indy Bowl in Shreveport.
