I realize that LSU doesn't consider Arkansas a rival (and by the series history, I understand why), but this is a series that I look forward to each year.
Baxendale is really struggling this year. He needs to get his head right if the Hogs are gonna make a run towards Omaha.
I hear that the refs this year are going to have it out for the Saints too. You know, to add some extra insurance for the league to ensure that they don't make the Super Bowl.
Please, just stop.

The ship sank. Get over it.
As a 30 year Niners fan, I say Harbaugh if you're talking NFL. In collefge, I take Saban.

Two different games and both are coaching at the levels which they are better suited for. At least that is the way I see it based on their results thus far.

This would have been a much different series had there not been so many walks issued by Bama's pitchers. To give that many BoB's is an anomaly.

In regards to the hitting woes that were referenced about Bama, that should improve. This is just the first SEC weekend and there is plenty of time to improve. The biggest concern is the pitching staff. Fix that and wins will materialize.

I don't think anyone should be cocky at this point in the season. Too much ball left to play. I'm happy with the series win, but it's time to get ready for a road series now.
I'm one of those fans who can get excited about any sport if the Razorbacks participate or the SEC is doing well. I'm just strange that way, so go Kentucky!

The Razorbacks beat Dayton 72-55 a few minutes ago and will likely face TAMU in the next round.

Arkansas does have a beautiful campus, though the construction that is underway creates a lot of eyesores. Ozark and Vol Walker are both under complete renovation/expansion, the new auditorium going up next to the Greek Theatre, and the new walkway/arch leading from Maple to Old Main give you fences and cranes everytime you turn around.

Much needed work and it will be very nice upon completion, but anyone visiting for the first time will probably not have the best opinion right now.
I will blame it on my phone, which is code for "I'm a dumbass and get confused on the interwebs."
Don't you mean "when the Hogs don't make the NCAA tourney?"

If implies that there is still a chance.

Good teams find ways to win on the road and Arkansas has yet to do that. Today was a good chance to get that win, but Bama outplayed us when it mattered.

Congrats on the win to the Bama folks. Your team definitely earned it.

I fear that if the Hogs don't figure out a way to put together a decent half court offense (and keep the ball away from Sanchez while on offense), they will remain winless on the road.

Pulling for the real Tigers of the SEC tonight.
The Niners were 4-1 against the Bengals, Lions, Giants, Ravens, and Steelers with the only loss to the Ravens.

It should be a great game and the Saints should be favored, but the Niners are more than capable of winning the game.

Looks like Ohio St. will get their first win against an SEC team in a bowl game.

Really didn't see us getting blown out in this one.

See you guys next season.

re: Arkansas drivers...

I had to bail my brother out of jail in Moffett a few years ago after getting arrested, leaving Cheyenne's, for pissing on the highway in front of a female cop.
I avoid that place like the plague now.

From persoanl experience, I agree completely. Moffett and Roland are as dirty as they come. I got a speeding ticket between Fort Smith and Roland about 6 years ago. I was driving 45 mph behind an Oklahoma driver, with a few cars passing me. Cop pulls me over and tells me I'm over the speed limit by 10 mph. Tells me the speed limit signs had been taken down because local drivers knew the speed to drive.

I told him there were cars driving faster than me, so they might want to send out a memo at the next town hall meeting. He wasn't amused.

You're dead on about Oklahoma drivers. They are the worst I've ever shared the road with. Must be all the firewater they consume over in "Green Country." If they're not driving with their blinkers on with no intention of turning, they're blocking up the road by driving too slow. Try to pass them, they speed up for a few seconds, seemingly oblivious to the fact that they're jackass antics are irritating every other driver on the road.

We have our crappy drivers in Arkansas too, but they pale in comparison to what Oklahoma produces.
I think Coach Sing was given the job before he was ready. He should have been allowed to cut his teeth as a coordinator before being handed the keys to the franchise. Hindsight, ya know?

If and when SF makes a change, I'm sure Sing will get picked up by another team in a heartbeat to coach LB's. Possibly even as a coordinator.

But Sylvesters Crooms he is not.
