I absolutely see why you would have this impression.

But the levels of excitement are not in the same universe. The sophomoric glee in watching OM burn could blow away in the breeze any day now and it would just be a fond memory. It's internet generation Dogs enjoying some shenanigans.

Bulldogs of all ages and eras were proud and are still proud of rising up from the bottom and getting to #1 for 5 weeks. May be along time before we get that national respect again

Sure, but whatever Pitino does has no relation to Freeze - would just be anecdotal evidence.

I'm sure sometime in the history of football recruiting, an escort has been paid for a player... doesn't seem to be the case with Freeze. Dude just wanted to get laid on the road from all accounts.

From what accounts Billy? From the same accounts that worked over time to put out propaganda that this whole NCAA shitstorm had little to do with football?

Your Administration has fricked around on all accounts for years now. How can you honestly believe people that either turned a blind eye to Freeze's phone records for years, or knew about them and did absolutely nothing until Mars threatened to go public with the hookers?

Since the call was so short, is it possible he found out about the escorts and called the number just to see who answered? Then failed to stop it from occurring? Perhaps he never cheated on his wife?

I thought saw/read where Bjork said that the phone records showed reciprocation with the hookers phone number....you know, a back and forth communication pattern.

I mean, even Steve Robertson has said the calls are unrelated to recruiting. I'd imagine a solid third of his "book" would be devoted to Tampa if otherwise

Has Steve Robertson seen all of the phone records, or only the selected few for the period of time Nutt/Mars requested?

Unless Steve has access to the same records that OleMiss scanned for a multi-year period then how would he know what the pattern consisted of and if they were related to recruiting?

Someone please explain how walking away from $16 million indicates that he was only cheating on his wife and not buying hookers for recruits.

I missed that connection

Steve Robertson is the one who tipped off Mars iirc. I'm sure he's gone through as much of the records as he possibly could. No one involved in the story thinks it was recruiting related. On both sides. Everyone who's reported to make a definitive statement on the matter has reported Freeze made the calls because he's a philanderer, not because he wanted to take his dirty crootin' racket to new heights, but, by all means, keep digging

So you believe he walked away from all that money because he was ashamed of cheating on his wife?
You believe OM fired him for personal improprieties?

It would be hard to believe that he ever works again in the athletic profession. That's a serious scar to carry around on your record.

According to that article, the calls that the Black Bears' athletic dept. found went back several yrs. while he was the HC. Wondering if they only started then or was he doing this for a long period of time? But even covering several yrs, that is a lot of lying & a ton of Christian fraud.

This is why I'm skeptical. They stood beside CHF through the whole NCAA investigation, even when it was somewhat evident that Hugh's actions were detrimental to OMs case. He was costing them millions but they never wavered in support for CHF.

Then BAM, in 24 hours he's persona non grata and the entire script flips. Doesn't pass the smell test

Steve said there is currently no evidence that links it. Not the same thing.

It's pretty clear Freeze was stepping out on his wife - his giving up $16M basically confirms it. What a pleb

and then there the whole alimony thing when she files for divorce....and then if Nutt wants to get froggy and go after Freeze personally for slander, back to the trailer park he goes

yeah, seems like walking away would be more prudent over recruits than cheating on his wife. If any of them were under 18 Freeze is in quite the little pickle

I'm sure it was always in him but certainly more attainable when he became a millionaire instead of a high school principal

Could this cause the NCAA to open another investigation up?
