This is one of those situations that confirm the university's need to let him go, but does not clarify a damn thing for anyone wanting to know how bad this really was.

IF they were for himself, they pretty much have to can him. If they were for recruits, they definitely have to can him.

Hugh didn't invent this tactic for recruiting. I wonder who he learned it from ?

The article still never explicitly states that it wasn't male escorts. Fingers crossed for that epic melt to come to fruition!

Now that would be one of those epic melts that only come out every so often...

We like talking trash about Ole Miss. If you don't like it then walk away. We will never forget being #1 for 5 weeks. That happens once in like 110 years.

Still don't know if these were for him or for recruits. Does not specify

Recruits don't need escorts. They rule the school and have their pick of the litter already.

You know who doesn't? Dirty old men... they have to pay for it.

Bjork told us they were NOT used for recruits.

I see your point and point taken. Then why was Rick Pitino at Louisville bring in the escorts. Leaves doubt in your mind.

We've seen a big time program, much bigger than Ole Miss' football program, get busted in the past for buying escorts for recruits.

Why do you think Ole Miss is above that?

Sure, but whatever Pitino does has no relation to Freeze - would just be anecdotal evidence.

I'm sure sometime in the history of football recruiting, an escort has been paid for a player... doesn't seem to be the case with Freeze. Dude just wanted to get laid on the road from all accounts.

The story to the NCAA is these calls were for personal use. The conversation at home is he was buying them for recruits. Unless he just comes clean one way or the other. Whatever it is I hope he has not ruined his life.

Don't know why how big of a program it is matters - if a coach wants to engage in dirty recruiting they will. Is Alabama above paying escorts? Is Ohio State? There has been no evidence of setting up recruiting for escorts in regards to Freeze. This is per Ole Miss detractors, not just Ole Miss admin.

It's pretty clear Freeze was stepping out on his wife - his giving up $16M basically confirms it. What a pleb

I was responding to your post here, where you made a stance that the escorts weren't for recruits because recruits don't need escorts to get laid.

If a yearly national contender decides it would benefit them to buy escorts for recruits, why is it an abstract idea for Ole Miss?

Connect the dots, IMO.

Since the call was so short, is it possible he found out about the escorts and called the number just to see who answered? Then failed to stop it from occurring? Perhaps he never cheated on his wife?

You are saying that you are jelly of State and Mullen. Obvious. Also, State fans aren't the only ones posting about Ole Miss. Far from it actually. Don't be so butthurt over the bulldogs bro.

Sure they don't need them, but if somebody else is picking up the tab...
Also, if you're going to hire someone to do a job are you going to pick a professional with years of hands-on experience or are you going to pick an amateur who may or may not have some experience (or maybe just watched a video one time and thinks they know what they are doing)?
