Trent did break Jim Brown's rookie rushing record that has stood since 1957. And Richardson passed both Brown and Eric Metcalf for the most scores in franchise history for a rookie, with 11.

Yes, Brown played in a 14-game season, but Brown also ran behind a far more talented offensive line. With all due apologies to star tackle Joe Thomas, no one is going to say that the 5-10 Browns are by any means elite in 2012. LINK

I can accept the Browns football reasons, but I know the fans just feel like they were sucker punched.

Trent Richardson told our Peggy Sinkovich. "Shocked. Had no idea. I love it here. I did not know til my agent called" #Browns

#Browns trading Trent Richardson as @AdamSchefter reported pretty much confirms they're going for Teddy Bridgewater - LINK

I'm sure he's upsetin the short term, but i'm sure soon he'll be really glad that his career was just saved

Indy has had no problem shipping out their good backs over the past decade, they would have no problems placing TR on waivers once they get their good backs off IR.

Trent was helping my FFB team, luckily I have Peyton, SEA, and a bunch of really good players. Hopefully he'll be in an offense now that can help him get more than 7 points a game. I think that will be the case in Indy, as long as they don't go to a RB by Committee.

This times a 1000. either they know something we don't know, or they don't know anything. TR had a great rookie year.

The Browns have acquired the Indianapolis Colts’ first-round selection in the 2014 NFL Draft for running back Trent Richardson

Does this make TR the only man to make more than one team burn a first round draft pick...

Great news for Trent

Now if Ingie could get on a good team.

Whatever. Bama's RBs are adequate for college. Once they get to the league they notice that they aren't running behind an o-line that's superior to pretty much everyone they face like Bama's line. EL, TR, MI don't know that the holes in the NFL are a quarter of the size that they are in college.

Bama has had some great running backs, but they've been the benefactor of great offensive lines.

I agree... but Trent is a legit beast. Cleveland is an absolutely terrible place to start your career as a young RB in the NFL. Atleast the Colts have a future with Andrew Luck being their franchise QB. Not to mention the browns have never and will never win a Super Bowl. They will never win their division since they have to compete with the steelers and the ravens. Atleast this gives Trent a real chance to succeed.

Yeah well the results of the recent Bama RBs supports that assertion. I don't think those RBs suck, but it's apparent that they benefited greatly from running behind a ridiculously talented offensive line that would regularly open up gaping holes for them to chew up yards. All of a sudden when they have to rely on NFL sized gaps, they struggle.

Quit making excuses. Great runningbacks will go to even crap teams and wreck shop. There are numerous past examples to prove this.

I think TR will be much better off with Andrew Luck and that organisation than in Cleveland.
