Low expectations in the preseason and the secondary market tickets were cheap in the preseason.

That makes sense.

Apparently, you've never spent much time in west TN.

You are a fricking retard (obv as a Mississippi fan) if you think Ole Miss comes close to matching Tennessee anywhere in West TN

Even in yalls state capital (Memphis), you are outnumbered by VOLS

Were they not welcome at the State tailgates? That looks like pre-game.

Poor form State. Be a better host.

It's been 20+ yrs since I went to a game there, but as I remember, that's the visiting team section, right? Obviously more there than the tickets allotted to 10rc, but still.

On any given Saturday Neyland has 20,000 fans from West Tennessee. It's a 350-400 mile drive

Over 10,000 alumni in Memphis alone. Pretty easy drive to Starkville.

As already mentioned, we had poor preseason expectations so ticket prices were low and available and were snatched up pretty quickly and season ticket holders were selling off their portion preseason. Tenner travels well.

Another thing that Selmon has to address is the faculty and staff in section 21 and their blatant disregard for the privilege of those premium seats. I'd wager that at every home SEC game, 70%+ of those seats are sold to visiting teams for a premium price. Stick their asses up in the nosebleed, they don't deserve those seats if they're going to do that.

Those tickets go on sale not hard to buy we don’t have to buy them from UT we can get them from any ticket site.
May pay more

At another SEC school nearby they track attendance. If the faculty or their family don't use them and transfer them to other parties on a routine basis, you'll be dropped to the bottom of the purchase list for future seasons. Also against the law here to sell anything for profit that you gained as a benefit of state employment, e.g. you can sell it for face value, but not a penny more. They fire people every year over that.

You are wrong I live in west Tennessee

You may be thinking about Memphis since it borders Miss Arkansas.

More to west Tennessee than Memphis. Anywhere you travel here you will see Tennessee flags everywhere

Infact people from west Tennessee call Mississippi lower Memphis

That side was pack full of them for sure. Was a bit surprising actually. Didn't think they would actually show up in mass bulk like that.

Ole Miss and UT both have big followings in the Memphis metro area.

Followed by Arkansas, Bama and State.

Nah, I don't think that's the case. I'd have a hard time believing that after seeing how Georgia fans filled Death Valley for a day game in 2018. As an LSU alumnus I have to say that I was totally taken aback and impressed with the amount of red and black that filled our stadium that day. (I can say that because the end result of the game meant that they had to drive back home at least mildly depressed.)

Heads up, you little son of a bitch. Do you have something to say? You seem to be really stupid. I mean even more stupid than the average poster here, which is a pretty low bar.

Ill always give Tennessee credit for the showing they had in Baton Rouge when we played them in 2022. Now they had "the team" and we were trying to figure it out. Also they did beat us down pretty good. But I saw more opposing team fans at that game than I ever had before.

So y'all probably had about 2/3s as many folks as UGA had in 2018. Seriously, I think over a third of all of Tiger Stadium was red and black for that game. I'm not saying y'all don't travel exceptionally well, but -SHEESH- Georgia really loaded out the place!
