I actually called the exact play Maze ran from the wildcat before the game. My friends were predicting Richardson in the wildcat, but that would have been nothing but a green light to bum rush him, because there was absolutely no threat of a pass.

It was a good play call, foiled by excellent defensive play by LSU. I don't see why people have to act like 'tards over it.

Listen numb nuts. I will take a lost Saban over the cluster frick coaching we had for the previous 10 years before him. God fans like you make me want to kick babies.

1 loss and ranked 3rd in the BCS. Yep, Saban clearly cant coach. I'm sure OM will take him off your hands.

I agree with everything u said, except the last sentence. Les didnt out coach him this year, nick just out dumbed Les. Yeah, it sounds pretty stupid but unlike last year, Les didn't make any brilliant calls that just blew Nick away, he just didn't make the terrible decisions Nick did.

Nick Saban lost this game way more than Les Miles won it, the evidence is in how many times he tried to rely on a failure of a kicking game after it had proven how bad it was. I mean who plays for OT when u are 2/6 kicking FG's? Would rather have Nick than any other coach in football, but he woke up with the downs Saturday morning I think.

That second part means Les outcoached him.

Again, means Les outcoached him. Your refusal to give credit to this is astounding.

I disagree. Les did indeed outcoach Saban. Its hard to deny that. Miles played to his strengths and his team capitalized on their opportunities. Bama did not.

Its hard to validate the FG attempts, when we have a kicker with NO leg. Punting and playing field position was the sound choice.

watching the Press Conference

The postgame presser? shite, I think ANY coach who lost a game of that intensity would be adrenaline-fried to the point of babbling incoherently just a few minutes after the game. I listened to Nick ramble on and on and I thought, Dude needs to take 30 minutes worth of deep breaths before he gets in front of the mikes. Unfortunately, they don't give him 30 minutes ... anyway I cut him some slack on that presser; a lot of it was the adrenaline and exhaustion talking I figure.

If it was Miles calling this play, everyone would be saying what a moron he is for calling such a risky play this late in a tied game. But since it was The Great and Powerful Saban making the call, it was a very good call, and it would have worked if LSU's defense didn't pick up on it quickly.

Stop being whiny. I would have called it a good play no matter who called it. Again the blame lies with the TE for not securing the ball. He allowed Reid to muscle him for the ball on the way down. Great play Reid. TE

Trust me I have no great affection for Saban or in awe of him. If you want to pin a bad decision on him it would be the long field goal tries rather than punting and playing for better field position.

I swear to God having any conversation with a rantard is like talking to your snot-nosed 12 yr old nephew. No matter what you say, they will come back with some mindless non-sequitur that has nothing to do with nothing.

Rantard: Maze pass is stoopid

Me: actually it was a good play. Maze can throw the ball pretty well. Williams came free & Maze hit him in the hands. If Williams secures the ball Bama would have likely scored the only TD of the game and won.

Rantard: If miles do it everyone say he weerd.

Me: WTF does that have to do with whether it was a good playcall or not?

Rantard: Saban go to Pin state haha

There's stupidity on both sides with people claiming what you said and people like thakaptain refusing to give miles any credit for outcoaching saban...there's also good posters on each side that can see the game for what it was as well

Yeah, I agree that the Maze call was not a bad call at all.

The bad calls were a lack of creativity on first down (basically run, run, run mostly up the middle) and the long fg attempts after Foster fricked up the first one so bad and just didn't have it afterwards.

Don't care if he can kick 60 in practice. As bad as he missed that first one, he was rattled.

I give LSU plenty of credit, they played like champions. But I still think we played the better game on the field and lost because of some piss poor decision making on the sideline.

It's all parts of a singular effort and u have to put it all together better than the other team. LSU did that, we did not.

Why not stop playing the "IF" game? Somehow playing "IF" over and over again isn't like talking to a 12 yr old snot-nosed nephew? Probably not. It's more like trying to reason with a 5 yr old snot-nosed redheaded stepchild.

I don't think he was rattled. He just physically can't leg a ball that far. I didn't want him to kick the first one, much less any of the later ones.
