Much different than scheduling them in the regular season with the potential for a loss than playing them in a bowl game.

We have a much better chance of losing than if we were playing a smaller conference d-1 opponent, but kudos to LSU for scheduling them and beefing up our nonconference slate. Our fans are much more excited about this opening game.

Yeah its good for all fans...but that is not the formula. Schedule 4 crap games...win the conference...play for the national title. Scheduling OU doesnt do any good.

Too bad there couldn't be some type of scheduling mandate that required more of these games. We don't have a cakewalk OOC schedule this year. Opening with Oregon and a road trip to Morgantown.

LSU could be the best team in the country but if they lose those 2...

The OP didn't mention anything about scheduling or about the regular season in his question.

Oregon didn't have a good game plan against AU. They thought they could run the ball, and didn't have a back up plan when that failed. Defensively they held AU to half their season average, and return most of those guys. I would still take LSU -4

Will LSU's line and RB be as good as AU's and Dyer was in the NC game?

LSU wins easily as long as Miles doesn't overgraze that day.

They were overrated last year.

You're about to find out just how good Dyer the crier is this year.

I've got a bet for you.

I pay you for a $1.50 for every yard he gains over a 1000 if you pay me a $1.00 for every yard he gains if he's under a 1000.

Regular season only and injuries don't matter?

You want to bet?

I would take that bet if it was voided by any injury that cost him at least 1 full game of playing time and I actually knew you IRL.

ETA: Has Malzahn ever had an offense that didn't have 1000 yard rusher?

Auburn dominated Oregon this year except on the scoreboard. Oregon had to pull so many plays out of their arse to keep it close.

True, but the scoreboard is ultimately all that matters.

This, plus AU squandered every opportunity to take control of the game. And there were plenty. It was a weird game that way.

Not a good bet. Of course Dyer won't do as well with an inexperienced line and no cam but he's still dope.
