No I would not. As much as I hate Auburn and would enjoy a solid year of it, experiencing the UT rivalry turn from one of the best in CFB to an afterthought makes me realize how important healthy rivals can be to a program. You never want your rival to be great enough to consistently beat you but you also don't want them to be so bad you barely notice playing them.

We've beat UT 6 straight.

And won 3 of 4 BCS titles in that stretch.

Not sure how important it is. UT falls off, LSU steps up.

I don't mean we need UT or rivals in order to be a successful program ourselves. I mean that the actual enjoyment of a CFB season goes down if a traditional rival falls too hard and struggles to get up. I mean seriously take a look at our schedule. Outside of two weekends it's about as boring as it gets. I love beating up on UT and AU, but I at least prefer the excitement of not knowing who will win.

Nah, that would be boring. Don't mind probation for a year or two, but if State got the death penalty, then there would be a hole left in me to some capacity. Kinda like how Joker would feel without Batman. You want to beat them to a bloody pulp, but not destroy them utterly.

Last year's AU game was kind of pathetic. But it's been the only one. Hard to top '08.

Still, I don't mind the certainty.

I enjoy joking about hating auburn. The rivalry is fun for me, and exaggerating my hatred is funny. If anyone doesn't understand or appreciate that, I think we'll all live anyway.

Of course I don't want anything to happen to the school or the people who attend auburn. As for the death penalty, I don't want their program destroyed but I'm fine with them getting penalties if they deserve them.

No, I actually enjoy watching Bama games and pulling for the other team. This hobby has not been as fun since Saban arrived, but the man can only live for so long.

I don't wish that upon any team, even AU.

You can do serious damage to a program without destroying it, obviously.

If the rival we're talking about is baylor, then yes. Honestly.
