Would love to have a league with just the remaining founding members.

Georgia
Florida
Alabama
Auburn
Kentucky
State
Ole Miss
Vandy
Tennessee
LSU
9 game conference schedule and the best two records play in Atlanta for the SEC Championship. Forget tv money. Keep it regional. Would still be the best football conference.

TV money is overrated?

All moves being made to ruin this sport are driven by money. Fans need to take college football back. I don’t want it to be NFL light.

Money didn’t just now become a problem in college football. The ones with the most resources were the most successful, always.
This may balance it out a little but not enough to where you could tell it.
I am sick of this super conference crap though, it’s getting ridiculous.

After tu kills the new SEC, it’ll be reborn into something similar to the old SEC. Might take 10 or 15 years, but it’ll happen.

Sewanee might want back in.

Georgia, Alabama, LSU, and Florida aren’t going to get pushed around by Texas. Especially when Saban and Kirby are in the league.

I agree. The sips won’t dominate on the fields or courts in the SEC. But they have a proven history of corroding whatever league or conference they’ve ever been in. Too many rich texans involved.

Naw they’re in for a rude awakening. They’re not the biggest swinging dicks in the SEC.

Yeah, it’ll be a big adjustment for texas when 15 teams tell them to go frick themselves…..

This is a really good post with unique information. I’m surprised no one has posted it before.

I'm for the most part ok with the OP. But no big issues with USC and Arky. They've been here 30 years now.
And very few changes in CFB have been for the better save OT.
But it should be pointed out that it was OU and UGA that went to court late 70s that revolutionized TV which more than anything has changed the CFB ethos.

Yeah. Forget the internet too, amirite!
No, really, you should forget about the internet and go chase the kids that are walking through your front yard.
I realize you won’t see this until tomorrow, because you have been in bed for at least a couple hours.

Ah you are still up. And a good sport.
The old Big 8 was a neat little conference too. The nostalgia is real and warranted.
But here we all are.
