If Ga Tech had their athletics in some decent order they would fit in with the SEC pretty fair I believe. They already have the rivalry with Georgia of course but I remember they used to play Auburn and South Carolina pretty often when they were an independent. But from what I understand their administration doesn't have much use for the athletic program so they really aren't suitable as things stand now

You must be one of those AU GT fans. It’s a weird combo but I know quite a few. Must suck knowing you’re gonna lose to UGA 2X most years. Sucks to suck

Georgia Tech could buy the entire SEC this year and still make a profit of 2 billion dollars.

Let that sink in.

What a LIE!!! GT's endowment is only about $700 million more than UGA's.

GT ought to use their money to buy new toilets instead of outside latrines for their DUMP of a stadium that's so bad the Georgia High School Scholastic Association began refusing to hold high school football games there anymore.

GT is a DUMP, your stadium's a DUMP, and YOU'RE a DUMP, CHUMP!

You seem bitter that when Georgia Tech offered a $4,000 tuition rate in the 90's, that you couldn't solve simple geometry.

It was that easy.

No English, no History, no UGA worthless poop educational classes.

Yet, here we are.

To the tune of the GT's fight song, "Wramblin' Wreck"....

"I'm glad I'm from GEORGIA and not from Georgia Tech,
I'm glad I'm a BULLDOG and not a Wramblin' Wreck,
GEORGIA's so much better as anyone can tell,
Oh, GLORY TO OLE GEORGIA! and TECH CAN GO TO HELL!!"

It was a problem even when I was there in the late 1980's. To be a successful athletic program you either need a lot of tee shirt fans or have a large student body. When I was there, the student population was about 13,000 and the vast majority were from out of state. Almost all moved away from Atlanta upon graduation, so they weren't in town to support the team. Rice and SMU use to have lots of support too, but the focus of sports shifted from college to professional sports in large metropolitan areas. It would take a lot of years of Georgia and the Falcons both doing bad to gain a large local fanbase.

A Georgia Tech-Auburn combo is basically West Georgia.

UGA is seen as failure in Atlanta to the Chatahoochee.

Endless pain.

UGA is a graveyard for hopes and dreams.

Both Athletically and Academically.

You're so jealous you weren't able to gain admission into UGA so off you go to GT or Auburn.

Funny, GT & AU are baby brothers. Ugly baby brothers.

Yeah, that is as true as saying that Auburn is an extension of the University of Alabama campus.

No, you're fake.

From Wikipedia....

"The Georgia Institute of Technology, commonly referred to as Georgia Tech or, in the state of Georgia, as Tech, is a public research university and institute of technology in Atlanta, Georgia. It is part of the University System of Georgia....

College of Engineering undergraduate program ranked #4 (#2 public) by U.S. News & World Report in the 2020 Best Colleges rankings.

Probably the Best College in the South.

If you have the skills.

I now understand why a trashy University like UGA would take to feeding lottery money to high school kids in desperation in order to fill their class rooms. Hope.

Hope.

Did Daddy Tech make you mad?

I bet you couldn't even name a building on GT's campus.

But, we literally could pay for a new Basketball Arena for your Dawgs in the click of a finger. 300 mil is easy money.

Ask your State for that money, and it will be 10 years.

Obey your Masters.
