$207,998,471,823 billion dollars is their current endowment.

Two hundred Billion to start with.

Plus 7 billion to play around with.

I think you may be off by about 100 fold.

frick GA Tech. They would bring nothing to the sec and would just be another mediocre program to leach off of the big boys.

GT athletics are broke. They may have endowments but they are not for athletics. The Techies are always whining about not having money to do renovations to their facilities and their old dowdy stadium, having “millionaire” alumni who won’t support the program and bitching about the “high” cost of season tickets. A contribution isn’t even required to purchase tickets except for a few areas. Believe me they would bring nothing to the SEC but a pitiful excuse for a football program. Unless they are playing Clemson or UGA ( and both these schools greatly outnumber them in their own stadium) they pack 20,000 into their decrepit rusty old 50,000 stadium
on a good day. Their fan base is minuscule and getting smaller. Their coach is a gang sign throwing guy who loves gimmicks and Waffle House. They are Vandy SUPER lite. GT would love to be invited to the SEC. But after their arrogant exit years ago not many would agree to let them come crawling back. Clemson and FSU and even Miami would be better choices if the SEC decided to raid the ACC.

GT put out feelers back in the early seventies about coming back into the conference. That was met with a huge yawn by the SEC and that was the end of that.

They are actually $2.17 Billlion in Endowment. We don't need more lolpoors in the SEC.

Georgia Yech is actually a branch campus of UGA system.

Yes, they'd love to be invited. But, NO!, they won't be.

Georgia, AU and Bama would shut that down pretty fast. The SEC doesn’t need another poor excuse for a football team. We already have SC and Vandy

Georgia Tech could pay for UGA's whole yearly University budget going forward for 75 years with that money.

And would still have a billion left over.

Yet, UGA begged for a lottery system to give them money to compete due to "bad Presidents" who wanted to damage us over and over" because they weren't the right fit in Athens.

Panties down!

Not unless we were competitive. Unfortunately we haven't had consistent success in quite some time. At least it hasn't been like 40 years or something like that since we won our last national championship.

Georgia Tech is superior to Georgia in every way academically and financially. Georgia's a bit better in football. Congrats.

Georgia Tech could buy the entire SEC this year and still make a profit of 2 billion dollars.

Let that sink in.

You sound bitter you weren't able to gain admission into UGA.
