Not so sure about that. The title wasn’t conferred until after a long wait and lot of discussion. GT left their bowl game without any mentions of a possible NC. In fact most Techies were quite surprised by it. One in
My own family. Rumor had it that there was a bit of arm twisting on the part of GT. It was a divided decision as the polls didn’t agree so the term
Co champions was given to both them and Colorado. So they shared a championship at best

Not sure bout the "entire nation" but the area has improved greatly and GT has spent lots of money on capitol improvements around campus.

Too bad Atlantic Station turned in to such a shite show.Coulda a been a huge asset to the area had it been planned correctly.

sigh Tech is a great school, I know we like to shite on them but we are still behind them in many metrics. I think UGA will continue to close the gap, but let's be realistic here
