season telling us the nfl achievements are irrelevant when you idiots kept comparing Dak to Eli.
Because we were comparing a current college player to a current NFL player, college careers were all we had to base comparison on.
In this case they've been in the league an equivalent amount of time so a head to head comparison is possible.

They are basically the same program, so no.

shite give him Trevor Knight, he's the type of QB that thrives under Dan's system. Honestly I believe Dan is the best in the SEC if not just right below Saban based on the hand he's delt.
I bookmarked this post just so I can come back here after game 3 and laugh at you after Trevor pick 6 knight has single handedly started to cost A&M football games :)

I think Dan Mullen is a pretty good coach. His numbers speak for themselves as compared to State historically. As for whether he would win more at A&M, I look at it like this:
Mullen's best quality, to me, is his consistency. If you make mistakes, he wins. If he has better talent than you, he wins. He has never had one of those Jacksonville State/Maine/Appalachian State debacles.
I think consistency is also his problem. He never beats teams that have a clear talent advantage over State, either. Obviously, many coaches don't, but if you're going to get over the hump (pardon the pun), you have to have a signature win that announces your arrival.
The question would be would he be able to recruit well enough to A&M to get superior talent than everyone? I'm not sure, but he probably could get the Ags competitive for #2 in the West, which would be an improvement.

That's fair. You can generally look at the schedule under Mullen and predict it pretty well. Which is a good and bad thing.

completely solid and relevant rebuttal. My hats off to you

So you want to give this guy a chance to win a Championship and you are moving him to perennially mediocre Texas A&M? Another place no one wins at in a consistent basis.
This is not a flame is a fact. Aggie fans here acting like their football program wins championships doesn’t make it real.

Doesn't matter, we aren't talking about the NFL. Fairley is a Lombardi Award winner, consensus 1st team All-American, SEC Defensive POY, and BCSNCG Defensive MVP. Is Fletcher Cox any of those things?

That jackass has been spewing that forever. I use to think he was just trolling but sadly, I don't think so.
You would be amazed how many Auburn fans believe it played out exactly like he stated.

Mullen would catch the gay for sure.

Honestly it's amazing how many MSU fans put their heads in the sand and pretend nothing ever happened on their side like John Bond isn't on record saying he went to around to other MSU boosters and Dan Mullen trying to raise the money to pay Cecil.... Just think, if MSU wasn't such a poor bunch of snitches then nobody would have ever known shite

Yes, we all know Auburn paid for Cam. That's an argument Auburn fans will never win.
People like to fantasize about certain coaches at other programs. Honestly, I think Mullen would've had similar results as Sumlin has had at A&M, slightly better last year, maybe. Sometimes Mullen gets to much credit. He's a good coach but has his faults.

The West was weak that year

Only through 5 games? What about the rest of the year?

It doesn't matter anymore. We know how it went down. Don't care anymore.

No, John Bond clearly is NOT on record saying that. He is on record saying that Newton contacted Bill Bell about payments, and Bell called Bond to tell him there was a problem. Bond then called AD Greg Byrne.
If you want to believe MSU tried to pay Cam, you can have your little fantasy. But don't claim it was "proven" or that Bond is on record admitting it.

You don't know shite you might strongly suspect but you don't know a god damn thing

It's not fantasy. You wanted to purchase him but a more attractive offer came along. Why don't State fans like capitalism?

The same can be said for Auburn. Just cause the NCAA could not prove it, did not mean it didn't happen.
