Would Arkansas fans be happier if they were in the Big XII?

Alabama, LSU, and Auburn all have significant advantages over Arkansas. You can argue that Arkansas has a better history than Texas A&M, but with all their money and location, A&M projects much better moving forward. Even the Mississippi schools have a better recruiting location than Arkansas.
Arkansas has the 9th biggest stadium in the SEC. In the Big XII, they'd have the 3rd biggest stadium. Stadium capacity is by no means the best way to measure a program, but I do think it shows that Arkansas would be in an upper tier in the Big XII instead of the also-ran they are in the SEC.
I think being in the SEC is very beneficial for Texas A&M because it differentiates them from Texas. TAMU joining the SEC has also killed the "Play in the SEC" pitch to Texas recruits that Arkansas no doubt used.
Mizzou plays in the East, and while the East isn't as bad as people make it out to be, it's not the same level as the West. I do think 2013 Mizzou would've run the table in the Big XII and played in a national title though.

I would much rather be in the Big 12/SWC than the SEC. I feel like we'd fit in better with the OK/TX schools as well.

Why? They’d suck there too, play less exciting teams and collect a lot less revenue.

Arkansas actually has a national title post WWII though and a winning record against A&M all time. It's a wash to me.

No, I would be happier if we would just get our shite together.
To be totally honest this is actually the best time for us to be down. The west is just ridiculous right now. Even if we had one of our better teams winning the west would take a miracle season.
I would rather have one of our better teams at a time when the path isn't a complete warzone.

I was hoping someone would make this thread.
The move would go a long way towards making Arky more relevant to Texas recruits and the program needs that.
Plus Texas might be willing to wheel and deal a little to keep the Big 12 together past the 2030 LHN expiration date. I bet Arky can get the Thanksgiving game, and be allowed to have their own network.

Why the hell should fans care about this? It's not like if the Big XII folded, Arkansas would just drop sports, and fans don't see a dime of that money.

I don't know if a school administration will ever pass up the money for the good of the program though.
