Georgia v. Boise State 2011

I blame it on the stupid Power Ranger uniforms.

That Mississippi State game was also on Thursday night, it was the only college football game on and we got blown out in front of the entire nation. I am still embarrassed to this day.

Craig Steltz, a white safety, had 3 interceptions.

Imagine this uniform with the red being replaced with white. I want to see it.

I think this game came back to haunt you in 2004.

The Sam Cunningham game in B'ham. Went 6-5-1. Change had to be made, so the wishbone offense was secretly installed in the off season. Won at USC in the 1971 opener. Went 11-1.

I wouldn't mind the helmet with true silver britches and black jerseys.

I distinctly remember all the AU fans saying "USC doesn't stand a chance against us, especially in all this heat and humidity". LOL!

#6 AU (USC #8) was fortunate the scoring margin wasn't any worse.

Fight on for ol' SC,
Our men fight on to victory.
Our Alma Mater dear
Looks up to you,
Fight on and win
For ol' SC
Fight on to victory
Fight on!

I was at that game in Chapel Hill. We had a good team that year but so did UNC with a kid named Lawrence Taylor.

Rogers had a big game but was kept out of the endzone. UNC had a helluva defense that year. Can't remember UNC's Coach's name .... Crum maybe, wore thick framed glasses. He was the one that eventually turned in Clemson for cheating after Pell left for Florida and Ford took over.

ETA: Was that the last time we lost to UNC in football? I need to look that up.

ETA2: No, it was 91.

And AU was darn lucky they didn't have to face that '04 USC team, too...Trojans would've stomped them (AU barely beat VT while #1 USC literally destroyed #2 OU, 55-19).

Id like to see that, too. I enjoy the classics, of course, but I've always wanted to see the traditional red and silver with black helmets.

Too much is made of this game. Boise was ranked #5 going into the game and ended ranked #8 in the country.
We got beat by a better team, plain and simple.

Pimp stick? Really? I'm surprised in todays political environment that they got away with that. PIMP stick? Wow.

You also had one of Auburn's defensive starters with the bulletin board material of all bulletin board materials:

"I'm not supposed to say it, but I'm going to say it, they have nothing on our defense."

I don't know who it was that said that but SportsCenter was playing that clip over and over again on the highlight reel every time a USC player made a big play or scored a touchdown.

I think the stench behind this loss for UGA was the constant talk about how soft Boise was over the past years by all UGA fans as well as SEC fans in general. So much crap had been talked about them and the reason they had not gotten a chance at the big game was because they played such a soft schedule.

Kellen Moore was a hell of a college QB and that was a legit team. They pretty much beat every big team they played. Including coming down to the Georgia Dome and beating UGA in everyday possible. People that were exception another Hawaii game were severely disappointed.

It showed a flaw in the BCS system which is more than likely still in the playoff system.

I know by your post history that you are not very smart but you surely can not believe those two things matter.

I was in New Orleans for that VT game. That was a very uninspried AU team. You cant blame them either.

Arkansas, for sure. They beat the national champions in their last game.
