re: Worst game, your team lost. That still makes you scratch your head

Yeah that one in 97 still gets me but the two interceptions kind of tells you all you need to know in that Auburn converts it into two TD's
1994....that was just God laughing at us. We owned Auburn in all facets of the game that usually count. Passing - despite Howard's int's....rushing, TOP.....21 pts off of three ints..who would have thought?
Also...1982 against MSU. I think the week before we had just beat FSU and LSU had the #1 defense in the country and John Bond using the damned wishbone did a number on us...we had absolutely no solution for it.

Just open the history book to the Croom era, close your eyes and pick a page. The Maine Black Bears! Hell...I didn't even know they had a team?
I listened to that game on Yahoo when radio could be broadcast via their website. The team collectively just completely blew that game. We had a fumble, an interception, and a FG miss deep in their red zone that cost us that game.

The university of.... Maine. 04. The realization that MSU would just have to ride out Sly Croom happened for most of the fanbase that night

Hence my "still makes you scratch your head" post because that Bama team was kicking au arse and was much more talented overall. The score could/should have been 42-7 at the half.
Poor coaching, obviously.

Maine.
We lost 9-7 in a game that we absolutely dominated. Seems like we had 4 or 5 turnovers inside the Maine 5 yard line.
That was depressing af. That same team beat a highly ranked Florida 2 weeks later.

2007 UK and Ark, Florida last year,Auburn '94 and '04. Tulane 1982 takes the prize, though.

It seems like everyone has a story of a head-scratching loss to Auburn where they somehow pulled a horseshoe out of their arse
The 2010 "Camback" is still the creepiest game I can ever remember. There was voodoo shite going on all over the field

LSU 2010. Meyer was a shell of a coach by then. Everyone and their brother knew Miles was going to fake the FG.
I was there. I was screaming "It's a fake!" at the top of my lungs.

You know a tiger likes to play with its prey before it devours it.

I'm going with the rest of them. South Alabama was bad along with losing 3-2 against Auburn but Maine takes it.

How we lost to that shitty 2011 Auburn team at home blows my mind. That's when I knew we will always be cursed against them.
2013 Tennessee was bad but Shaw got hurt and it took a miraculous catch by the one catch wonder Marquez North to beat us.
2010 Kentucky also comes to mind one week after beating #1 Alabama.

Don't forget 2014 A&M. I don't think I've ever left the stadium as angry as I was that night.
Visitors won and are on a 5-game streak. So it's natural. I won't mention the '13 horse collar. Oops, I guess I just did.

It doesn't make me scratch MY head but I think it clearly makes Kevin Sumlin scratch his: 2016 vs. MSU. Our savior Trevor Knight goes down to an injury he never recovers from. Without that injury I think (no offense, MSU fans) A&M wins that game and wins what turned out to be a 1-point loss the next weekend against Ole Miss. I won't pretend A&M had a shot against LSU to end the season with their pathetic defense vs. Guice, but we're talking 10-3 instead of 8-5 and all the hot seat talk magically goes away.
I'm actually not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

Auburn at home in 2011 or @ Tennessee in 2013.

Was one of my favorite Bama players as a kid. Then he got arrested for drugs in Dallas or something. Don't even know if he's still alive at this point.

South Carolina 2010. That probably kept us from a repeat NC.
What is the logic behind this? Alabama lost to LSU and Auburn also.
