Worst coaches to ever win a NCquote:
Guess that's why we outscored our opponents in '2011 - FIVE HUNDRED to 123. And only 63 of those 500 were NOT scored by the OFFENSE.
9 of those 13 teams were bowl teams. And only one victory was by less than 13 points....
Wowwwww...What """"luck!"""""
LSU's offense scored 392 points in 2011 with 4971 yards. In 2012 LSU scored 287 points with 4865 yards. LSU's 2009 and 2010 offenses were terrible.
As a comparison, AU's offense in 2009 scored 343 points with 5613 yards. An offense in its first year with a noodle-armed QB. Of course, in 2010 Auburn had 6989 yards and 504 points.
Since you brought up 2009; as I recall, you guys scored a whopping 10 points on LSU, 7 of those on the last play of the game! And LSU scored.....um THIRTY ONE....
LSU also won 9 games in 2009 with two soph QBS,
and 11 games in 2010, including a 24-21 win over Alabama, and a 41-14 win over Texas A&M in the Cotton Bowl.
In 2012, a missed FG at the end against Bama was the only thing stopping LSU from another SECCG appearance and possible BCSNCG appearance.
Also, LSU's DEFENSE has consistently been near the top since 2010.

Miles doesn't control the defense like he controls the offense. Chavis takes care of that side.

Remember the offensive game plan against Alabama in the BCS title game? Most embarrassing piece of coaching in BCS history, bar none.

Les Miles is doing some remarkable things in Baton Rouge. The only reason it doesn't stand out is because another fella is doing unprecedented work in Tuscaloosa.
Agreed.
There's only one program in the country "outshining" LSU right now on a long-term basis, and that's Bama.

The 2004 championship was stripped from USC.

Les Miles didn't win a NC? His game plan in the Alabama fan wouldn't factor in to my contention that he qualifies for his place on the list? You need to think through that.

Your list sucks and you suck.

Bush gave back the trophy, but was not stripped of the award.
USC vacated those wins. Ask a Gump fan how that works. They know a thing or two about vacating a few games for NCAA violations.

They really need a coach with a good background in offense.

Aside from Oregon, Florida, and Stanford. If LSU loses Chavis at some point I can't see them doing better than 9 wins in any year. Maybe Cam Cameron will surprise me though.

Isn't that the coach that got fired from Baltimore in the middle of the season due to his flailing offense? Isn't Baltimore also the team whose offense miraculously came alive after his departure on its way to a Super Bowl championship?

Say what you want about Les...he got LSU to the big game twice...LSU's 2011 season was one of the finest seasons ever for any team (and there were no Saban players on that team...haha).
LSU is one of the top programs in the nation, and credit goes to Les...

Yup, and a great offensive mind with tons of experience. Also, the Ravens are in the NFL. LSU is a college football team. But what does it matter because the two are the same rite? Rite? Amirite?

Miraculously came alive despite having a lower PPG percentage after he was canned. Lol

All he's done is troll since he signed up.
