Won't matter long term, unless Bama,is crippled by injuries next year.

All the players sitting out actually helps next years team. 15 extra pratices and a scrimmage.

That’s who you would put your prestigious program’s hands into?

The HC of the Oregon Ducks?

Depends how this year and next play out, but I wouldn't necessarily be opposed to it, assuming that goes well (and he continues to do well in whatever other time passes before Saban hangs it up).

I’m not so sure.

I think that the physical and mental taxing of the “the process” has a long term impact on a young man’s future.

May be a reason why underclassmen have been leaving in droves the last few years.

Nuclear fallout, meteor crashing, or maybe ebola? Those would be tragic. I can think of a lot of bad things but I don't want to go to those dark places

Worst case for Bama is and has been Saban retiring.

He's washed up. Better call it quits before he goes full on Lloyd Carr.

Why does LSU continue to melt after winning?

He may hit an opposing player on the sideline. Garrett Myles style with a helmet.

If Rob Ezell's impression is an accurate depiction of Saban's view on retirement (see Youtube Link -- definitely entertaining and worth a watch), and I believe it is, Saban will call it quits at just the right time.

I definitely would. He's under 50 and is one of the best recruiters in the country. He's also done miracles with Oregon this year and put out disciplined and superb offensive lines in his time here. Can't think of a better candidate tbh.

Hey, I think he should stay as long as he wants bc he's earned that, but it's very clear he's slipping in his old age.

So, a team more deserving of a playoff spot than #2 SECW runner up, Alabammer?

They are definitely more deserving if they win the PAC 12. Who have we played, besides y'all this year? And we lost that one...

Nah, worst case is Saban hanging on too long.

You’ll obviously be fine by next season

So will LSU. All I’m saying

I agree.

Even worse would be Saban hanging around too long and forcing bama to force him out.

Agreed - going to be fun with 3-4 elite, Top 5/10 quality teams year in and year out at the top of the league. Maybe a bit more like the mid/late 2000s.
