Musselman is too streaky, not sure how “dominant” he’d be in most programs

I mean it’d suck but why would they hire him when Beard is there for the taking? Seems odd.

Louisville has been to much shite with scandals. They are not about to bring in Beard who slapped his girlfriend.

Muss > Cal, especially at a blue blood.

I just don’t see it. Like I said, he is way too up and down throughout each season and that eventually catches up to you especially at bigger basketball schools. Yeah, he’s had success in the tournament but starting to miss tournaments is a huge matza ball that will negate tournament success in a hurry.

His temperament and boyish antics also would get old.

You sure? Matt Jones mentioned it on KSR this morning. He is pretty accurate. Lulz!

I've heard a lot less about Muss out of Louisville folks and more about Beard than anyone. It's just questionable whether Heird is willing to take on Beard after the abuse allegations but it's a high risk/high reward deal.

The ones I've seen/heard the most are:

1. Scott Drew (a "make him tell us no" situation IMO)
2. Chris Beard
3. Eric Musselman
4. Jerome Tang

But I also wouldn't be surprised if it's not any of those guys just because that's where the chatter is right now. Some low key ones I've heard mentioned are Otzelberger at Iowa State, Ben McCollum (Northwest Missouri State, has won multiple D-2 champs there), Dusty May (FAU).

Any post by an Arky fan with the word suck in it is going to bring a lot of interesting responses going forward.

Rumors can destroy a program.

Really doubt Muss leaves, especially after the season that is going on at Arkansas. Starting to seem like Muss is wanting a bit more money, which he likely gets from Arkansas after this season since his contract is due.

I feel like he leaves for one college program, UCLA, or the NBA if they were to ever want him back. California will always be a draw for him. That is home.

While Louisville has one more national title than Arkansas, to me historically, it would be a very lateral move and also a move into a league that has Duke and North Carolina to deal with.

Muss will turn 60 this year and you also really have to wonder him leaving for any program that is going to take a lot of work to turn around. Louisville is 10-43 the past two seasons (record will get worse as this year goes on). It is also to be noted that Arkansas has had 13 coaches in its 101 year basketball history and not one has every officially left for another university. The closest would have been Eddie Sutton, but Broyles forced Sutton out when his exit happened.
