He hasn't played a down at Auburn, thus you guys are clear.
Not if an Auburn booster or employee had something to do with it.

But since he hasn't played a down why would that even matter?
Enlighten me please.

If they mailed it? Mail fraud. Federal crime.

Nothing to see here, this is just Chiz processing. He didn't like Jovon's choice of facemask, so he told him to hit the road. We need a spot for another RB in this recruiting class

Yeah but how's that Auburns fault???????
Posted on 8/10/12 at 9:02 pm to TT9
We might've told the counselor to change it...

And that can be proven how?
Just like the cam situation,(and i was one of the ones that thought he did get paid) you have to have proof.

he was and recruited and signed by auburn. if it turns out that there was something screwy that an Auburn staff member or person considered a booster arranged for grades to be changed, then auburn is ficked. simple as that. if its just the guidance counselor being a complete idiot, probably nothing will happen other than robinson being ineligible. The questions will all be for the counselor, why she changed it, was there any prompting by an outside or did she just do it on her own. that is if pat dye doesnt go up and bash her brain in with an empty bourbon bottle first

I'm still confused on all of this,oh well.

Wouldn't it be 'he said she said' without a pay stub?
Auburn would have to be sloppy for this to be a Auburn violation.

Hey!
So, I don't know at this point what is way ridiculous rumor and what is real... but... there is a rumor that the counselor who committed the fraud went to Auburn. Also, there are differing opinions about where he got the money for his car. Some are saying a wrongful death settlement from his dad's death, some are saying there was a payment from an Auburn booster. From what I can glean, the mom would have had to have sued a third party for the settlement. That is easily verified.
Also, there is a bit of question about when Auburn knew about his grades, whether Jovon knew, and blah blah. If he knew nothing and actually thought he passed, he's likely not impacted. If he knew someone committed the fraud and said nothing, he's likely lost his eligibility.
I think that's what everyone's waiting to find out.

This is what the final outcome will be, regardless of who was behind it (if anybody). Track covering is a fine art in the SEC.

he would be ineligible regardless of whether or not he knew. if he dint get the grades to qualify, he will have to go to prep school.

The counselor had to have been encouraged by someone.. I doubt anyone would risk their career over liking a kid and wanting him to succeed fraudulently.
This will come back to bite AU in the arse IMO, and I hope all involved get booted far away from the campus. Football isn't that goddamned important.. Let the kid go to prep school and earn his way.

depends on if the counselor is disgruntled and wants to talk (in the scenario where it wasn't her idea)
