Both teams playing in the Iron Bowl have a national title within the last 39 years. Can the WLOCP say the same?

Auburn is 7-5 in Tuscaloosa
And all five of those defeats have come during the Saban Era. Auburn's last four trips to Tuscaloosa have resulted in the following:
2012: 0-49 (L)
2014: 44-55 (L)
2016: 12-30 (L)
2018: 21-52 (L)
In the five wins Saban has scored over Auburn in Bryant-Denny, none of them have been within 11 points. The margin of victory has been 36, 49, 11, 18, and 31.

Not lately has Auburn performed well in Bryant-Denny. Auburn has lost the last four Tuscaloosa games in routs.

What’s Gus’ record in Tuscaloosa?

Sorry. Forgot those games don’t count.

Gus is 0-3 in Tuscaloosa, average margin of defeat being 20 per game.
He's progressively gotten worse: 11, 18, 31

They count but their value means little. You can't honestly compare Auburn beating Shula in Tuscaloosa to having to play Saban's teams there.
It took a Heisman trophy QB leading an all time comeback for Auburn to not be 0-6 against Saban there. That's not minimizing that one win; just pointing out Auburn usually gets their arse kicked against Saban in Bryant-Denny.

Crap. Yale has as many or more National titles as Alabama and Auburn combined but I am not going to watch them on TV or think they are exciting.
I mean, you can disagree, but I don't watch a game based off what a team did 10 years ago. I watch based on how good they are now. Auburn was not even ranked a couple of years ago, but you find them more compelling than two teams ranked top 10 playing each other? Go for it.
I get your interest. Your team is involved and I understand that. But if you want two teams that will be (probably) fighting to make the playoffs this year then the choice is pretty clear cut.

In fairness, in terms of watching the game THIS year, their points are valid. And with Auburn having beaten Alabama last year Saban is going to want a heavy dose of revenge.
I do believe Auburn will have a better team than some think, though.

Bama also used to play LSU before the IB, while Auburn played thUGA. Then they had that changed to play some scrub. Meanwhile, Auburn still played thUGA. I’m sure that had nothing to do with it...
P.S. you don’t have to convince any Auburn fan that Gus sucks.

I think we are 7-5 in tuscaloosa.
The Cocktail party is a colorful event, but it just determines who gets spanked in Atlanta.

Why would you want to cheapen your posts by doing this? 12 year olds use nauseating nicknames like this. You should be better than this.
And I feel the same when Georgia posters call Auburn pigeons and Florida Swamplizzards. It just looks infantile.

Oh they count, we’re just not sure how teams with Rudi Johnson coached by Tommy Tubberville 20 years ago are relevant to Auburn’s current form in Tuscaloosa.
Like has been brought up, Auburn has typically gotten their shite pushed in since Saban has been at Alabama, and last I checked Mike Shula isn’t taking over in November to make those wins of yesteryear a relevant point of emphasis at all.

He’s also leaving out that more often than not, we also play a scrub right before the Iron Bowl

Crap dude. Have you forgotten 2017 already?
It will be 7 years since Auburn has been to Atlanta and not been "spanked".

I get the animosity between us, but I still have a lot of respect for Auburn.

The rankings at the end of the year typically bear that out, though.
I actually am not sure why the games need to be ranked. They are both great games and exciting. I do my dead level best to watch both of them.

Don't be obtuse. Bama will still be a legit contender this year.
