How is a coach with no natties a top 3-5 coach? You are delusional.

Are there 5 active college coaches that have won a national title?

ETA:
Kirby
Dabo
Mack

Did I miss anyone?

Guess we can’t have can’t have a coach in the 4 and 5 spots.

I think Michigan would be the loser if this happened.

How many active CFB head coaches have a natty right now?

Swinney
Smart
Harbaugh (being generous because he is on his way to the Chargers)

Anyone else?

Do you really want to make this argument? Because that criteria also excludes your most recent hire.

Kelly is a good coach. He’s awkward but he has proven to be a coach kids like to play for.

Part of me thinks “who in the hell would want that job?”. Coming off of a national championship, the expectation are going to be high and continue the success. I really think this is a worse situation for a new coach than Alabama. Alabama fans are at least realistic. They know Saban was a once in a multiple generation coach and replacing him will be harder than replacing the bear. Kelly would be foolish to leave what he is in the middle of building to step into that bear strap.

Another part of me thinks that it could be a decent move for Kelly. He’s played in the toughest conference in the nation and been successful. His schedule will be much easier and home field is arguably one of the top five to ten best in the nation. Plus, Michigan will back the truck up and give him a nice guaranteed contract if they want him. That would be a nice retirement gig especially if he can continue to beat Ohio.

It’s a lean towards staying at LSU and he is in a great position to renegotiate his contract.

Exactly what fricking dynasty has Aggie ever had?! BK is building a monster at LSU. From facilities, resources, GameDay experience, weather and people, why tf would he leave for a program about to get hammered by the NCAA?
