Even if he is found innocent but there is some incident and this isn't just smoke, I think the heisman is gone.

IMO he is the clear front runner. If this happens, JFF will win his 2nd.

I would think this would solidify his legacy as one of the best ever.

Not so sure. Mariota still in the race, IMO. Voters tend to look heavily on the stats, and they are tired of JManziel.

I love how a Georgia and a Florida fan with their programs dumpster fires can post in a thread and list Mariota over a certain other candidate likely to actually be in NYC.

McCarron's had a solid year so I'd say he should be tied with Manziel

I have zero clue how the vote will shake out; I'm not even going to try to speculate.

But did you just make this up?

Dumpster fire? Ok. If you say so.

What has that got to do with our opinion?

If you knew me at all, you would know that I am Georgia first. SEC second. All else football behind those two.

I want the SEC to win the Natty, Heisman, and every other award there is to win.

I just gave my honest opinion. Why do people think Mariota is out of it?

Yeah, you pretty much did.
But I chuckled.
Carry on.

Admittedly the only time I've seen him play this year was against Stanford, but just from listening to commentators that game put a hurting on his heisman shot.

We have established the OP is an A&M alter based on the few threads he started, right?

Seriously? You haven't heard all of the talking heads talking about JFF 's antics?

People said the same thing about Mark Ingram after Auburn game.

I'm sure they are hurt. I've heard the same thing. but Manziel's have been hurt, too.

Hey. Manziel might win it, but I am thinking they will be looking for a reason and excuse to keep a SEC player from winning it. I think it will be won or lost over the next 2-3 weeks.

I think if you look at past winners there's an unwritten rule among voters to factor in character.

How much it factors in varies from voter to voter but it's there.

Thanks for the link.
I don't consider multiple Barry Switzer stories originating from the same quote; nor a bunch of bloggers (who happened to be bent during the preseason/September) to be valid data points.
But I'm sure there are a few folks who've fallen for that stuff.
I'll refrain from linking a story or two from people who think he's a pretty decent QB. Something tells me you're not interested.
In the end, we'll all see soon enough whether or not anyone (i.e., any voter) thinks he deserves the trophy.

Really? Because they all tune in to watch. You not gonna watch any more of Manziel this season?
