Nikki Haley is a farce. Let’s blame a flag for some white dude murdering 9 black people. The state of South Carolina is my home now, but it’s embarrassing to watch Haley capitalize on a tragedy for political move. Let’s keep shitting on our forefathers grave and keep playing race cards. What kills me is people don't know their basic US History!!!! Do they not realize that the Union freed slaves in the Confederacy before they allowed slaves to be free in the Union. The Emancipation Proclamation gave freedom to slaves in the Confederacy and not the Union. The Union was still alright with having them. Technically our country and flag we fly now kept slavery legal longer than the Conderacy.

Can someone say for certain that had SC taken this flag down 5 years ago that this nutcase would not have had the incentive or motive to shoot up a church; killing 9? Why is that we only hear crap like this after the fact and not an ongoing drive to do something with the flag? We know the answer and it's always politics. You can make a symbol of hate from almost anything and people do. Lots of people feel passionate about this flag though because they have ancestors who fought and some died in the conflict that is called the Civil War. I could really not care less whether they were removed totally from our memory banks. It's not going to change crazy arse nuts like this one that did this senseless killing.
