Will UGA vs UT even matter?

For all the off-season talk about this game, is it even going to matter?
UGA schedule is soft by typical conference standards but it's not our fault we can't play ourselves, Sankey cancelled OU, we got an easy draw from the west, and the rest of our division schedule sets up favorably. That said, I fully expect the Dawgs to walk into knee land undefeated and in the drivers seat for a spot in the SEC championship/playoffs.
UT on the other hand will likely have some war wounds by November 18th. TSIO in Tuscaloosa is likely an L. Bama is much more talented and now out for revenge. Furthermore, I don't think UT has reached the level where @SWAMP, @ZOU, 8-4, @Kroger (immediately after TSIO), or the COCKS are gimmies. I think there's at least 1 loss there meaning that Vols really aren't in contention for SEC/Playoffs assuming UGA comes in undefeated.
This is further compounded by the fact that King Kirby showed conference how to slow down UT. Not everyone in the conference has the personnel to pull it off....but several do....and UGA certainly does...if the game actually matters for the SEC east.
Official Predictions:
-- UGA goes to Knoxville undefeated and UT has 2 losses.
-- Tickets are trading for 80% less on the secondary market by game week than they are today. Currently $365 to get in the stadium and an average of over $500.
-- A rowdy crowd at kickoff looses energy quickly and UGA runs out the clock for most of the second half with a 38-21 win.
-- UGA clinches SEC East in Knoxville.

I’m gonna go out on a limb and say yes it will matter.
It is a good point though, Op. Not outlandish to suggest UT loses to Bama but I think them losing to any of those others is pretty out there. Not impossible I guess but not likely.

But will they roll out Kenny Rogers for a concert at halftime, and forget to turn on the speakers again? Cause that shite was embarrassing as frick. Is he even alive?

Don’t think so. I think he died.

No need to turn on the speakers, then.

Will UGA vs UT even matter?
South Carolina, Kentucky, and Ole Miss all push UGA's shite in before they come to Neyland for their 4th loss.

How novel. Using superior defensive line and linebacker talent to limit the run game and control the line of scrimmage.
Much innovative. Very wow.

OP
At least let the season start before you start getting scared.

It's not innovative but it does work.
It also shows that if your innovative offense only works if you can control the line of scrimmage, it's not particularly innovative. Almost every offense will work if you control the lines.
It's why an OL coach like Sam Pittman was worth so much to UGA. He made Jim Chaney's offense look good enough for Tennessee to buy him away.

I hear the UGA offense is experimenting with a new offensive formation called the Flying Wedge.

Stop it. Your schedule is a freakin joke. Tennessee on the other hand is going to WAR many games this season. We are used to it and we like it that way.
Your charmin soft schedule won't bold well for you when you come to Neyland and play the already battle tested Vols.
We are going beat UGA up this year. This game is freakin personal after i went to Athens last year and had to listen to you retarded little red clad trailer park trash.
OP is terrified of going to Neyland this year. Yes this game is very important and you know it. It's going to decide who goes to Atlanta this year. Who's it going to be? Tennessee.

It’ll matter to UT. Their Big 6 status was already on its dying leg before Texas and Oklahoma were set to join. If this season ends in yet another blowout loss to UGA at home and no championship, they’ll literally never win another conference championship. This game is massive for them.

The only thing I'm scared of when it comes to playing in that dump of a stadium and the worst kept turf in the league is knee injuries to our players.
As for the game itself...(yawn)...same old story. More tough talk, even when you got ranked #1 last season after taking down Bama. Suddenly, yall were kings of the world and already planned on beating UGA and heading to the playoffs. But in the words of Mike Tyson..."Everyone has a plan, till you punch them in the face."

That was in Athens. It won't be that way in Neyland this year and you know it.
This will be the biggest college football game of the year and Neyland is going to be rocking 1998 style. Good luck because you are going to need it.
