Per usual A&M has a good record going into the Bama game and then they get exposed as usual. Tissue soft defense with a big 12 offense that gets shut down when running lanes are clogged by a bigger more athletic defensive line, athletic linebackers that can cover the flats and a secondary that can cover man to man without help over the top. Mainly it comes down to physicality which A&M has severely lacked on both sides of the ball for a good while now. People go on and on about the Manziel era and how great he was but people forget that he was playing behind an offensive line in which 4 of 5 starters went on to play in the NFL.Two being high first round picks. An offensive line recruited by Mike Sherman btw

Saban typically loses one game a year.

This year it will be to Sumlin b/c he wants to ensure K-Rock gets a 4 year extension.

He's a nice guy like that.

True fact: Kevin Sumlin has the second highest winning percentage among Texas A&M coaches over the last 80 years. Only RC Slocum has a higher winning percentage than Sumlin. Be careful what you wish for.

I posted the same phrase when Les was about to get fired, and look at us now.

I think this game will be close. I know, I said that about OM so lol @ me but I really do.

Also, I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop with Daboll. A failed NFL coordinator isn't gonna keep plowing over defenses forever.

Dunno. Under Saban, McElwain and Nussmeier -- the only two offensive coaches I can think of that field better defenses than offenses -- both won national titles. There comes a point when a truly elite HC can turn any coordinator into a master of his job.

After FSU, many were ready to call Daboll a bust. Now he's tGOAT after beating up on a fraud (Vandy) and a dumpster fire (OM). If they go into JHS and put up big numbers, I might be convinced, but as of now I remain skeptical of a guy whose NFL offenses never got higher than 20th.

The first shoe is the offensive beatdowns in recent games When people talk about the other shoe dropping, the implication is something bad will inevitably happen, not that the first shoe was the first bad thing.

I can't speak for everyone, but I've been pleased with the play calling the past few games with more passes in the middle of the field, and longer.

He's not calling silly plays and he runs the ball a good bit. Not sure how the other shoe could drop unless he just starts doing the Kiffin cute shite.

all 5 OL are in the NFL, 3 were 1st round draft picks, most recruited by current OL coach Jim turner, and saban has mostly employed two high safeties against A&M cause he can (although it cost him in 2012 and in 2013 to an extent). Not here to argue against the inevitable beatdown coming our way, just your bullshite that stinks.

The most logical concern will be when he has to deal with adapting his playcalling when the offense is struggling against what the defense is throwing at them. When the running game gets shut down, a good spy keeps Hurts in the backfield, and the opposing LBs are turning the middle of the field into a net, what does he do to get the yardage? (Mind you, I'm not suggesting he can't handle it, just pointing out a way the other shoe could drop.)

A loss to Bama shouldn't be anyone's final nail in their coffin.

If the running game gets shut down, they keep Hurts contained, and Alabama can't throw the ball then I think we can all agree they won't do well offensively. Like every other football team from Pee-Wee to the NFL. The devil in the details is actually doing all three of those things.

I don't know that Bama can cover their receivers without safety help. ATM will be the second best team Bama has played this season. Bama is still down two starters as they will be all year and the run defense is struggling some at least compared to what us fans are used to. I'm not so sure this is the blowout some of you thinking t will be.

tldr

Anytime there is a working scoreboard the Aggies have a chance.

In this case a small chance, but don't forget, we had a 3rd quarter lead on Bama in Tuscaloosa last season.

Yes Bama is considerably better, but you are wrong to say this game is an inevitable beat down.
