Losing recruits to Mizzou. Can it get worse in Knoxville?

If they make the right hire then yes they will.

Isn't that true for every program? What if you haven't made the right hire for 20+ years?

That depends on who is in charge. If the AD is an idiot then they will keep hiring idiots.

That is the problem. Schools have gotten away from coach type ADs that know the game and understand which hires would be best.

The game of college football has passed Tennessee by. It becomes more obvious every year they will never be good again

Weird troll. QB is one of the few position groups in Knoxville with a loaded cupboard.

Anybody seeking playing time wasn't going to come in with Harrison Bailey as a Sophomore, Kaidon Salter as a True Freshman and the kid from Virginia Tech that just transferred in.

Not to hijack the thread, but that is the case throughout the entire business world now.
All these people pulling the strings just look for that college degree and "pedigree".
While ignoring the people with real life tangible experience that shows what works and what doesn't.
But keep hiring the college educated idiots who want to re-invent the wheel for the umpteenth time, while taking advice from a bunch of sycophants living in the same echo chamber.

Weird post from fans of a team who has never had it in the first place

They've lost 2 in a row to Tennessee teams coached by a guy who wasn't aware of what Asparagus was. That mixed in with VOLS routinely throttling them on the hardwood (3-7 in the last 10) since joining makes for threads like these.

Sad really

Well Mizzou is set at QB with Bazelek for several years so that's not really an excuse why Tenn didn't land Horn.

That's the point - It's a numbers game. You have 1 quarterback on campus in Bazelak that can throw beyond 10 yards unless Robinson did a 180. We have Bailey, Salters, Mauer, and the VT transfer all competing for the starting spot as it is. The 2 with the most potential of that group are a Sophmore and Freshman. Why come here and be the 5th guy competing for 1 spot when other Universities provide more opportunities for playing time

We also have another 4* QB Tyler Macon in this last class he'll have to compete with.
