The only era that Tennessee could have been considered a blue blood was from the 1920s through the 1950s.

Since integration Tennessee is 5th in SEC titles and 6th in winning pct, or maybe it's vice versa, but not good in any event.

January 4, 1999 to July 21, 2019 is 20 years and 6 months, so no, that is not "in the last 20 years." There have also been 20 seasons since that national championship. By no actual measure of time or competition is that "in the last 20 years." Typical.

Who the frick is Matt Hayes?

And yes, now we have the right people in administration and everyone is pushing in the same direction. That has not been the case in a long while.

Poot may be the guy, he may not.

That’s not how any reasonable person does it. That game was part of the 1998 season and even that game date was closer to 21 years than 20 considering it’s now July 21st.

Yes, but the game was in January. Currently, we are in July. You're really bad at this.

How can you say Clemson’s schedule is soft? They typically handle any SEC team they play. Their schedule means little. They would be dominant in every conference.

Never is a long time. Looking at 10-15 years and projecting that to “never” or “forever” is stupid.

If it wasn’t for Saban’s itch for (and timely failure in) the NFL, Alabama could legitimately be in Tennessee’s shoes right now.

Don’t tempt karma.

If Georgia and LSU can go through down periods, so can Tennessee.

The high school talent in this state has been better than it's ever been.

They'll be back, unfortunately.

I agree, and unfortunately so will Florida. Anyone who’s been a fan of college football long enough has seen these cycles. I despise UF like y’all do UTk, but we’d both be fooling ourselves to think they won’t bounce back.

Thankfully, from my standpoint at least, I think LSU is also due a bounce back.

Yes, our football team has been bad. Got any more breaking news? He was utter dog shite in years one and two. If you look at years 3, 4, and 5, we are 17-21 (7-17), which is one of the 3 best stretches for Vandy football since 1960. We have historically been fricking terrible.

The real question is why you have a Vanderbilt obsession. Did the mean ol' Whistler hurt you? Did watching us win the national championship in Omaha cut right to your core? Poor little pup alter.

Through the 2018 season Tennessee is 13th in all time wins in the country and 2nd in the SEC behind Bama by quite a bit....

Don't really count the Ivy League as most had 20 year head start over some other P5 schools on the list.UT is 10th if you go by those standards and UGA is right behind
UT...they have 19 less victories and should surpass them in 5 to 10 years.
