Yes, they can, but it won’t be for a while.

With Saban at Bama, Kirby at Georgia and Dabo at Clemson, recruiting to UT is going to be a nightmare for the foreseeable future. Hell, Muschamp at USC isn’t a pushover to recruit against.

Now, when Saban retires, things will go back up for grabs. A power vacuum will open up and UT could be one of a number of schools to capitalize on it. They need to have the right coach at the right time.

Not to mention the growing metro populations of Knoxville, Chattanooga and Memphis, which will always have a handful of blue chips. People who still see Tennessee as sitting on a Nebraska like recruiting base are out of touch. Place sells itself naturally. All about getting the right coach.

Tennessee will come back, all the blue bloods do.

Some of what you say is true. Some not. Alabama doesn't have the pop but HS football there is strong. They put out a shocking number of players every year. Georgia is a great state for recruiting but they have a problem. Many of the Atlanta area players have issues and I'm not talking about just the inner city, it's wide spread over the metro area. One other thing about Tennessee is the black pop there is only 16%. And a lot of the people moving into Nashville are professional types whose kids are not particularly tuned into football. The best bet to turn into a great college player is an outstanding athlete from Mississippi!

But Pruitt will get his. He is driven like Dabo. And then that staff will coach them.

It's really difficult to call Tennessee a "blue blood" when they have precisely two national championships in the Poll Era to their name (1951 and 1998). Not to mention the fact that the run Tennessee went on from 1995-2001 was the best run their program has had since the late-30s.

Thus, to call them a blue blood would be a disservice to the name.

The problem with this is that Tennessee isn’t a blue blood

Being a Top 10 all time program qualifies as blue blood status, but you might have a point being that UGA fans have first hand expertise on non-blue blood status.

Only in the mind of a vol. There are only 8 commonly accepted blue bloods. Bama is the only one from the sec.

That 95-2001 run is severely tainted. Between the known cheating Fulmer did, the entire Albert Means hypocritical shite show Fulmer and the Hyam brothers orchestrated against Bama, and the arse beatings they regularly suffered at the hands of UF and SOS, ... it was a questionable run at best.

You take away the players Rodney The Bag Man Garnder took out of GA and the ones Chavis gave escalades to in SC and then you include Peyton demanding handies from the therapists and the massive corruption perpetrated against many of UT's SEC foes by the Doug Dickey Roy Krammer officiating hierarchy in their yearly attempts to get two SEC teams into the BCS bowls.... and that entire 95-2001 run falls apart.

Hilarious considering since UGA is right behind you in wins and probably surpasses you in 5 years and we also have the same amount of SECC's

This is complete horseshite and you've yet to EVER back up this statement and I completely disproved your theory in regards to metro Atlanta kids who got in trouble at Bama when CKS was there.

And WTF has UT done the last 20 years? Not even a SECC

I'm not the one who called my program a Blueblood and you guys are delusional if you think so.

Tennessee will go back to having above 500 7-6 8-5 winning seasons again of that I’m certain. Do I see the Vols winning a championship in the next decade, I’m not so sure on that one. I wouldn’t be shocked it they did but they’ll have to recruit the surrounding border states like Fulmer did to make that happen. Those that see Tennessee as a perennial bottom 3 of the Eastern division team will be proven wrong imho.

You're labeled as a UCF Fan, your signature picture is of a gator BB player, and you passionately defend a Tennessee program that hasn't been relevant for 2 decades. What gives? Identity crisis?

Through the 2018 season Tennessee is 13th in all time wins in the country and 2nd in the SEC behind Bama by quite a bit....This after the sorry shite of the last decade and the Kiffin...Dooley and Botch Jones years. Plain and simple....The other 12 teams in the SEC are looking up at Bama and Tennessee.

In fact....Princeton is 14th right behind Tennessee so you other 12 are looking up at their asses too.
