There's a large faction of the State fanbase that can't stand the Air Raid and wanted to go back to how they traditionally played, roster be damned. That's why Arnett was hired and did what he did.

The new WKU OC was Leach's QB coach.
However, WKU's offense was not good this year. They went from 7th in ypg to 61st. Hollingsworth runs the same Leach air raid, which is to say an old air raid system and not the modern one which WKU put up insane numbers with for a few years. Their returning QB threw for 1700 fewer yards and 14 fewer TDs under the old Leach staff this year.
Anyways, someone else asked if that was the best Rogers can do. Rogers is the textbook definition of a system QB. He has a weak arm and no athleticism. His career was built by dumping it off to his RBs 2/3 passes. That's not an exaggeration, MSU RB Woody Marks is now State's all time reception leader. Going down to CUSA is exactly what he needs to do but I suspect some P5 program will give him a shot.
