They never do, so I would imagine they’ll treat LSU fans like they do in 3rd world countries.

I have had good experiences in Oxford for the most part.

Florida fans are the worst. I got smoked in the face with a half eaten apple at Publix before we even got to campus. I had to stay sober my last trip because if one more person gator chomped in my face I was going to lose it.

Plus the PD are assholes with the container rule thing they periodically enforce.

Meh, Oxford is as boring as Hattiesburg.

Just don’t go, there’s nothing special about it.

My former brother in law got stabbed in the gut leaving a game in Oxford. In fairness he was a giant a-hole and most likely instigated it.

My family and I have had nothing but negative experiences in Oxford. 1989 - My Dad and his friends were cornered and attacked by a group of frat guys in the square. Admittedly they were being a bit “Wild” after the win but they were genuinely shocked by the viciousness of the attack. 2007 - LSU visits Oxford and comes out on top 41-24 but before the game my Uncle was knocked to the ground and bitten just above the Eye brow by a gentleman wearing an Ole Miss puffer jacket and a styrofoam cup full of whiskey. All because my uncle confronted the man for him and his buddy harassing women at their tailgate. 2013 - My buddies and I make the trip up to Oxford for the game. We didn’t have tickets so we watched the game at the Round Table in the square. The game itself was fine but the second Ole Miss won on that last second field goal everything changed. Ole Miss fans at the bar started showering us with beer and hurling insults at us. We were basically forced to leave the bar when the drunk bar tenders started charging “anyone in purple & gold” $40 for a beer. I’m hoping that this year things have changed and Ole Miss has learned how to behave themselves… I’m planning on taking the family and my 3yo daughter up there to show off our new coach! All my friends and ready for the LSU takeover and get to explore the quaint southern town of Oxford.

Went to Oxford in 2018; was a fantastic time. Buddy and I were treated to a nice tailgate, and they let us drink their beer and eat their food. Would go back, 10/10.

If this was true you are the real criminal for bringing a 3 year old girl into the environment. Fortunately you just made it up.

Well this is rich coming from the peace loving, docile, gentle people that make up the LSU fanbase.

Yeah I remember seeing pints of glass (empty of course) liquor bottles thrown in mass like 50 at a time against a rival fan base..granted that was in the mid to late 90's..but I'm sure extra security will be put in place as well as searching for bottles

Anybody objectively looking at the LSU game day experience will tell you how great it is.

My first thought on seeing the post was Bear Bryant wearing a football helmet on his first return to Grant Field after the Darwin Holt-Chick Graning episode to protect him from empty whiskey bottles donated from the GT fans in the stands.
