1 more point I'd like to make about the UF game.
UF fans kept bringing up the face mask penalty on the long TD run Ya'll might want to leave that one alone. Why? Answer these questions:
What's the procedure for a holding call? 10 yard penalty from the spot of the foul. If just holding is called on UF, the touchdown comes off the board, and that puts the ball somewhere around midfield depending on when the refs say the holding started.
On the other hand, what's the procedure for offsetting penalties (which is the best case scenario for UF in this case if they want the facemask penalty)? From the NCAA rule book:
FWIW, I was the first person to spot and call out the facemask in the game thread.

If live-ball fouls by both teams are reported to the referee, the fouls offset and the down is repeated. (A.R. 10-1-4:I and VII)

If you guys can't see there is a serious problem with the officiating in the SEC then you aren't paying attention. Tenn fans have a point, and FLA fans have a point. The SEC office needs to suspend or fire officials who make egregious errors in games. The conference reputation depends on the integrity of these officials.

Gutsy move by both. All I have seen are the two replays and I would say Muschamp has a beef based on those two calls. Either one of two things will happen. Either officiating will get better or the calls could really go bad for Carolina.

That first link, you could see all the USC linemen looking back for flags on the ground after the Florida receiver held the player by the back by his jersey for 50 yards.
I didn't watch the game, and this was the first time seeing that video..
Wow. That's f'd up baaad.

Play should've been blown dead from the get go. The right tackle false started. This is my first time seeing this YouTube link but I scroll down and one of the only comments is saying the same thing.

Lol. Welcome to our world gamecocks. Imagine having to play bama, those inbreded bastards, every damn season and have that happen to you. You not only have to beat them, but beat the officials as well. It's just a joke now amongst LSU fans. Beyond any explanation to the contrary. They cheat for bama without question and it's so blatant that everyone knows its true. They just have no shame and will do anything for bama to win a football game. The bigger the stakes in the game, the bigger the cheating for them as well. We have so many examples of it that it would convince even the most hard-headed person on the planet.

I think the refs do the blatant cheating only during key moments (of the season) so as to not raise suspision about the blatant cheating.
Why does your AD allow it to continue?

Yes because it’s clearly a cake walk to win the conference every year. Ask Clemson or Ohio State or Oklahoma or Oregon if they are gladly in non-SEC conferences. I think you will hear a resounding “YES!”

SC only asked 1 thing of the Refs on that play...

(if it's not already, SC's DJ needs to add that one to his playlist... )

Build that fire. If you build it, they will come. I think LSU would jump on that train in a heartbeat if we didn't have such a spineless cuck for a president.
It was the state of South Carolina that kicked off the last split when the rest of the group wasn't playing fair.
frick the SEC.
I'm ready for a change.

Some do, but that was 100% a blown false start call that should have brought it back.
The egregious facemasks I am talking about were on other plays and were similar no calls. There is no gray area with these missed calls, much like the false start.
So we can play this tit for tat game all day. I get it, they suck.

I find it funny that the fan bases that support SEC officiating the most also happen to be the fan bases that benefit from it the most.
UofAlabama and University of Florida
That's when you can be sure that your suspicions have been confirmed.

Hey clown, what do you think the SEC is without 13 of it's 14 member institutions? You'll just be an independent. You think Nick Saban bitches now about getting teams to schedule? Wait until you're an independent. You'll be playing a schedule that looks worse than Clemson's. It'll be Little Marys Sisters of the Poor and Lighthouse of the Blind every week right into your #5 spot just outside the playoffs.

Welcome to Baker Mayfield’s world as being a quarterback of the beleaguered Cleveland Browns. Finally have some talent, and Mayfield is a turnover machine this year. But the NFL officiating has done teams like Cleveland and Detroit absolutely zero favors. They feel the pain of the teams who get screwed over in the SEC also.
