Will Muschamp hires Chris Leak as quality control coach.

Leak, who helped lead UF to the national championship in his senior season in 2006, has joined Will Muschamp's staff as a quality control coach, with the plan to launch a career in coaching. As a quality control coach, Leak will not be assisting on the practice field. He will have duties in the coaches' office, including breaking down film. Leak took over as the Gators' starting quarterback during his true freshman season in 2003. In UF's victory over Ohio State in the BCS Championship game his senior season, Leak was named the game's most valuable offensive player. Leak is not the only new face around the football complex. Two members of the 2013 recruiting class — offensive tackle Trenton Brown and safety Marcell Harris — are enrolled in classes for the Summer A semester, which began Monday. Brown, a junior college transfer, and Harris, a top-rated safety prospect, are expected to compete for possible early playing time when camp opens in August.

I did too. I always thought it sucked that he was the guy right before Tebow Mania. Guy deserved a ton of credit for what his did at UF.

Leak threw the prettiest spiral of any college QB in my lifetime... Loved watching him throw the football.

Leak threw 32 TDs his sophomore year in Zook's offense.
Not too many people realize how good he was pre-Meyer.

I like Leak as well, never really got the love he should have. Should have hired him as recruiting coordinator and wide receivers coach....

Always liked the guy, because his last year was almost completely overshadowed by tebow. Solid player at Florida. Glad to hear about him.

WTF kind of position is that? Does he have QC training? What authority does a QC coach have?
Sounds like a BS made up position. I work closely with a Corporate QA/QC Manager. It's a senior level position.
Oh well. I also like Leak and wish him the best.

Damn time flies fast. Doesn't seem like its been that long since bro was playing at BHG. Good job taking care of your own Florida. Hold a spot for Tebow, he'll be there soon. Maybe he can be the team Chaplain.

Chris Leak is a complete class act who had to deal with a whole bunch of bullshite while at UF. As others have mentioned, his legacy has been overshadowed due to Tebowmania.

I think you missed my point. I was inferring that he would be a better choice as the position Joker currently holds for you guys.

I remember the '06 bama game. Old uniforms and all. Leak drove all the way to the redzone. Then they pull him to put tebow in. Nothing but boos came of it.
