Oh. I know it's down. Just don't care. We win Saturday and we likely go to Atlanta. And all the Ranters can explain it away all they want.

Whats funny, semo, is our players clearly heard ALL of this stuff ALL year long too and are as chippy as we are. In many ways, the SEC elitism and attitude toward us is exactly what produced this surprise Mizzou team. And I hope that the weekly new excuses - injuries, our division is down, blah blah blah - continue to fuel our guys. It's given them more focus and drive then I've seen in just about any Mizzou team. Other Mizzou teams have been good and talented, but this one has explicitly stated that its on a very, very specific mission to shut all the SEC haters and doubters the frick up. You see that passion on the field when L'Damian and Michael Sam etc are making plays. You can tell. And they'll tell you openly in interviews.
So while this shite is annoying, I guess in a way we should tell our fine Southern friends to please keep it up. It's literally helping Mizzou succeed.

I suppose in an east that's not down, UGA doesn't lose to Clemson and UF doesn't lose to Miami or LSU. Otherwise, the losses have all come to east teams.

I thought it was awesome when L'Damian Washington told Pinkel that just making a bowl game wasn't good enough. He thought they should be talking about competing for championships, and got laughed at during media days when he said this.
He also said, after the last game, that it's a 12-step process, and that was step 7. I love that attitude and focus. We are going to miss that guy next year.

If you guys don't agree with my opinion that the East is down that's fine by me. Everyone has different opinions. I'm always good with that.
I don't think I've ever said MO can't be good. I'm sure there will be up and down years with MO where they can compete for the East title. This year is an example. I can just see the circumstances that surround the season and make observations that seem obvious to me.

I'm sure plenty have told y'all by now that we are not a traditional East power. Hopefully we can sustain success like we have, and more. For right now though, we're one losing season away from being "Ole South Cellarina".

If you're getting excited about beating a traditional power in USCe, wait til you face UK. They've won two more SEC football titles than USCe. Yeah, I went there...they've won two SEC football titles.

If it makes you feel better -- I imagine it won't -- with the exception of Bama, the top half of the SEC as a whole is down. And even Bama is (so far) down from where it was last year.
