I predict Florida will return to prominence after they fire Jim McElwain in four years.

And hire Greg McElroy. I like where your head is at.

One of his two wins will be over UT, though.

The single most important thing to happen for Gus was getting NM. Without a QB CJM will be in trouble.

I was going to tell you to slow your roll until I read the bolded part.

Good post, Tubs.

The pieces are there. I say yes.

11-2 season

No. The pieces aren't there. You are missing experience and players in key positions. The reason Gus did so well when he was at AU is because he had 3 years worth of players that he helped recruit when he was the OC. His system could be easily implemented because the talent pool at Auburn was recruited to run his system.

Do you forget the insane amount of luck Auburn needed to do that in Gus' first year? They were as close to 8-4 as they were 11-1.

You normally have a game or two during the year that comes down a lucky break, sometimes they go for ya or against ya, but they went like 4/4 in lucky breaks in the regular season that year, that normally doesn't happen.

I think McElwain has a lot more to do on the offensive side to make it.

If they did though, how would Tenn/Ga fans react?
