Will LSU's Program Fizzle Once Miles Leaves?

Seems to be a common sentiment that Alabama will trail off once Saban leaves. If that's true, then if Miles leaves, does LSU trail off as well?
It's also true that historically every successful program has ups and downs. Just look at Alabama in the mid-late 80s and the late 90s and early 2000s. LSU in the 80s and 90s. Auburn right now (outside of 2010). Tennessee for the past ten years. Florida took a dip with Zook.
But LSU has had consistent success since Saban arrived in 99.
Isn't about time they....declined?

I never thought I would see the day where a rantard would try to argue that Miles is a good coach as part of a flame on LSU.

It'll Fizzle out before Miles leaves, and such fizzling will be the reason Miles leaves.

I thought we were declining once Miles arrived. Most here thought we would be irrelevant after 2005. You guys need to make up your minds.

Not a flame.
I've always said Miles is a good coach.

Depends on who replaces him and if he can recruit the same class of players.

Same as Bama it depends on who they hire to replace him. Whoever it is will have an easier time in the beginning if it's a known name. Miles was not well received at first and somehow despite his record a small few still don't accept him.

Yeah and it was rare and extraordinary for LSU to keep the machine rolling, which to me confirms that Miles is a great coach.
Three in a row is rather impossible though. Odds have to be against your future.

Pretty sure Les is our own Mack Brown

It depends on a myriad of factors, most-prominently who replaces him - things are cyclical.

Always gotta turn it into something personal with me? Good Lord do you just research what thread I post in and then comment....
That was a non-trolling statement.
The OP gave the hypothetical that Miles would leave, there are two options there. 1. He gets a better coaching job (meh) 2. the program faulters for a couple of seasons and they decide its time for a coaching change (much more likely if you ask me)
If was a response not a troll. Quit stalking me.

All depends on the replacement not being Bielema.

LSU has been in decline since 2005 according to national media and other SEC fans.
It just hasn't shown up on the field.
First it was, "He's just winning with Saban's players."
Then it was, "Any idiot could win at LSU with all that talent."
Then it was, "The juniors are leaving to jump off a sinking ship."
Now it's, "When will the decline start?"
Miles is in his late 50's, he has two of the best coordinators in the business, he is recruiting like crazy, and LSU is an NFL farm team. The decline is much exaggerated.
LSU will be a force to be reckoned with for the foreseeable future. Obviously, the next hire will be really important, but that is the case for every program.
I will say this, Miles will leave the LSU program in much better shape than what he found it in, and that is saying a lot.
