We haven't seen an offense as elite as yours. You haven't seen a defense as elite as ours. We give up around 10 points a game, that's not gonna happen. You score 40-50 points a game, that's not gonna happen. It makes perfect sense that some kind of compromise is the most likely outcome where LSu scores between 24-34. But LSU fans take that as heresy.

The LSU fans on this board are so blindly optimistic in all things LSU that you almost have to respect it.

I am not so sure about that. Our D is more tested than UGA's. While our D is certainly not as good, we have posted better performances vs common opponents than UGA in some games. (Auburn & A&M).

Further, we have faced a top 10 D in UF and boat raced them.

Not just fiddy, tree fiddy. Y’all are the most powerful offense in the history of football at any level. Tree fiddy to zero!

That Auburn one is dubious at best. Auburn played UGA at AU, scored less points, and was basically impotent defensively until UGA got up 21-0 and then went 3-and-out a million times in a row.

Y’all act like these common opponent games have occurred in a vacuum. Different teams at different points in the season in different conditions. After 12 games Georgia has put up the most elite defense statistically speaking since the 2011 LSU defense. On the other end LSU has put up a record setting offense.

It’s ok to admit you don’t know which is going to give but that you feel confident your defense can limit our mediocre offense to the point that LSU wins comfortably. You don’t have to make obnoxious claims about hanging 50 on a good defense.

They are who they are on offense.

Ehhhh, veteran quarterback in a championship game, plus they know they have to score more than they usually do makes me think they will play a good game offensively. We may be able to stop them anyway if our defense has really turned a corner but it’s an open question.

LSU is certainly the most powerful offense this year. In fact, it's the most powerful offense in the SEC in a long time hence all of the records being broken.

Do some of y'all even think before you post?

And we played A&M in the rain but apparently that doesn’t get taken into account

Sure, it will count but that would require a return of the UGA's arguments on the LSU/AU game.

LSU had over 500 yards of offense though.

That's what good defenses do.

You can run up all the yardage you want but if you can't convert red zone opportunities when the field shrinks, the yardage doesn't matter. UGA is #2 in the country in RZ defense. Only 20 RZ possessions allowed on the season resulting in 1 rush TD, 7 pass TDs, 5 FGs...only a 65% point conversion rate.

So, yeah, run up 500 yards between the 20s...it doesn't affect the score.

Did LSU really give up 38 points to Vandy?

The defense gave up 24 and one of those TDs was on a short field. We played sloppy af in that game.

They're just not used to winning. Act like you've been there before.

Hey, bruh, 1980 incoming.

It’s not like we’ve been in this position the past 2 years. LSU did this just... 8 years ago, you know.

Correct, and as an LSU fan who knows much about that 2011 defense, I can tell you that at some point, the D breaks down. Hell, that 2011 Bama team clocked that D 21-0 and I can tell you with 100% certainty, this 2019 LSU O is 10X's better than that 2011 Bama teams O.

We have been there and won more than UGA.

Auburn was held scoreless until the 4th quarter. The 14 they scored were when we went to a soft zone.

A&M was held to points through 3 quarters and threw up a TD in the 4th. They had a total of -1 rushing yards on the game.

But yeah, I'm sure you had better performances.

Oh good lord, I can’t even begin to address all the leaps in logic you just took to try to make that point.

I mean LSU and UGA’s all time winning percentage is basically dead even.

We’re on an LSU board so you’re going to get more silly posters than other fan bases have here.
