Will LSU-Bama this year be better than 2011?

Before 5 in a row or some dumbarse comment, this legitimately has the potential to go down as an all time great game. Both teams stacked at every posisition and bringing in great recruiting classes. Assuming Bama can get by UT, LSU will be 8-0, Bama the usual 7-1 after OM. Game is in DV so already know it will at least go down to the last drive or overtime.

Thinking it goes 17-13, 17-14 either way.
Thoughts?

Alabama is going to be built again to shut down your run game.

You need better quarterback play to have a chance. That's not trolling it's 100% honesty.

Alabama is probably going to kick your arse again

You speak of this like it has great game potential, but nothing from LSU a year ago proves they're capable of being great. The returning players, sans a few, aren't great. You have some mild mannered sissy football players manning more than a few starting positions. We are meaner than you, not to mention bigger faster and stronger. Frankly I'm more worried about playing in Fayetteville

Don't typically agree with you, but yeah... this. Offensively it has to be something different in order to make this game interesting IMO. That's going to require at least quasi-passable QB play and significantly better O-line play than last year.

You mean a better quarterback than the one who was making his 3rd road SEC Start?

The one being touted as one of the best quarterbacks in the league by your fanbase last October. Yep. That's the one.

Get out of here with that road start BS. Didn't stop McElroy, Mccarron, Sims, or Coker from winning a championship

Yep, the same one that showed little to no improvement through the rest of the season until the bowl game against a TT team that couldn't spell defense, let alone field one.

Oh good grief. You can't even break 17 points on Bama with that antiquated offense.

Idk why I even argue with you idiots. Harris won't improve at all. Will probably get worse. Whole team is coming back same as last year. Expect another 14 point bama win, despite the fact that the last three meetings in DV have been W, 4 point loss on last drive against a bama team that was thought to be as good as the jaguars and then our worst team
Under Les takes a playoff bama team into overtime.

Bama by 14. 27-13

There is no reason to believe that this year's game won't be a slugfest that will come down to the last minute like like the last 4 LSU Bama games in Death Valley.

It will likely be a top 10, or top 5 even, matchup. It will be a giant game just like it always is, and will have a ton of a hype, like always.

I agree! It comes down to what LSU does on offense. Both teams will have a great defense. I think Alabama will have a better offense than they had this year. If Les is stubborn and runs the ball at Bama all day LSU will lose the game, if he opens it up and moves the ball by several different methods while keeping the deep ball available anyone could win the game. Les needs to get back to the mad hatter we use to see years ago.he is like Couger in top gun, he is holding on too tight and he has lost his wings!

We all know you're rooting for LSU and don't even believe in Alabama anyways.

Depends on how bad the QBs are. They'll both have weapons, LSU will have a terrible but more experienced QB and our run D can't be as good as 2015 without Robinson, Reed, and Duvall. Alabama could have a Coker quality QB or a too young flaming pile.

Either offense could stink or magically click, but you know Saban will make Harris throw for the game to be winnable for LSU

Virtually all your posts on this board are angry, mean spirited tirades toward Bama. You really need to chill out. It's just a football game.

I follow LSU closely and this might be a classic except I'm not convinced the defense is going to be much better than last year and Alabama's offense will be just about as good as 2015. LSU D has serious questions about quality at LB and OL...and before anyone starts spouting a list of names at me, tell me who on that list would start for Alabama. Names and bodies don't necessarily equal SEC quality.

On offense LSU real question will be less about QB and more about the OL vs Alabama pass rush because LSU will not be able to run the ball. AlBama returns all of its pass rushers.

I do think Tiger Stadium is a plus for LSU but I don't think they will be undefeated. And yes traveling to the pig sty worries me more than LSU at this point.
