It certainly appeared intentional on his part.

Lol did it? The word intentional implies with intent. It looks like Kirby’s “intent” is to scream at his d coordinator as he didn’t break eye contact with him as he bee-lined it straight to scream at his DC. The player got in the way, and clearly without even looking , Kirby shoved him. Lacking intent.

You guys are such pussies.

That’s actually not the point ppl here are making. If you are making that point, I think that’s fair. He should maybe control hjmself better, an argument could be made.

The point people here are saying is he attacked the kid with malicious intent lmao. Which is just such a pathetic cry from internet homosexuals that it’s almost funny except it’s true.

Sorry kid, that NEVER happens. Nothing like that has happened in decades.

So no, sht like that doesn't happen.

He should be suspended and fined, in the least. Maybe more.

That may factor into the penalty, but not that is not a defense.

If you accidentally rear end someone driving, it doesn’t mean you still aren’t liable for the damages. If you accidentally shoot someone while hunting, it doesn’t mean you won’t still be facing civil and/or criminal charges.

Just because you don’t intend to do something doesn’t mean you are free from consequences.

I don’t think it was malicious but the kid would have been in his rights to shove him right back. Then you have a sideline brawl break out all because one of the head coaches can’t control his emotions. Kirby has to get a grip.

There are different consequences for first degree murder and manslaughter. So yes, intent does matter.

There was no damage done to the player, your argument is dumb.

Yeah and I think that’s fair to say. If you wanna criticize Kirby for pushing the kid that’s fine, give him a penalty, fine him. Whatever. It’s fair to say perhaps his action was overblown.

It’s an entirely different thing acting like this had malicious intent. Pretending a coach is attacking a player when he clearly was just overzealously going to scream at his DC and shoved the player in question is what everyone here is doing. Acting like Kirby attacked the kid lmao. Literal sewing circle women on this board.

Didn’t Dick Cheney shoot someone in the face while hunting? I don’t remember him facing any criminal charges over it.

You should put aside what Kirby’s teams have done to yours. Everyone on this board sounds like the biggest pussy on earth.

I will say this, if that had been Kalen DeBoer there'd be non-stop coverage of this on the boards and on ESPN.

Nah. That dude would’ve dropped Deboer’s soft arse.

This is literally contradictory

He absolutely intended to shove the player. That’s kinda how the shove happened

What you are looking to say is it wasn’t his “original intent”. But once the player was in front of him the shove was intentional. That isn’t debateable

The application of self defense is not predicated on you having received damage. It's predicated on the possibility of receiving damage..

The player should have clocked him. He would have been within his rights.
