If I had a way to track down a police report for the incident I would. If one of you has connections to the Fulton County Sheriff's Office or Douglas County Sheriff's office then have them pull assault reports for a 10 day period around November 2nd, 2002 that show Quiktrip as the incident location.

I don't remember if I was still in Fulton when I stopped for gas or if I was already in Douglas County. Quiktrips are pretty ubiquitous in the entire area, and I probably stopped at most of them at one time or another when I lived in the Atlanta area.

If you don't want to believe me then don't. Basically every single passionate fanbase has at least some history of fans becoming violent in response to the loss of an important rivalry game.

I went with an elderly relative to the 2007 Alabama-LSU game in Tuscaloosa. LSU scored twice in the waning minutes and pulled out a victory versus Bama. A drunk LSU fan was talking smack as we were exiting down the circular concourse, and an Alabama fan threw some kind of box at him and hit him in the head. I think it was some kind of cardboard box related to concessions as the LSU fan barely even noticed. He just drunkenly glanced around for a few seconds and then continued on walking while talking more shite to people passing by.

Ironically, I've actually rarely seen violence among Alabama fans or LSU fans, but I know it happens. I've definitely seen it occur in Auburn before.

What was notable about the Quiktrip incident is that this wasn't quick-tempered violence among rival fanbases outside of the stadium after a heated game. This was a Georgia fan attacking his own family after a loss.

Like I said, if you choose to label me a liar and disbelieve what I witnessed then that's your right. Your conclusion is wrong, but short of me being able to locate a police/incident report I fully realize no Georgia fan will believe me.

But people who've regularly interacted with your fanbase will. I'm sure Florida fans have witnessed plenty of things down in Jacksonville during the Cocktail Party. Georgia fans have a well-known history of being very thin-skinned and prone to violence.

I do choose to label you a liar because it is an obvious lie. These types of stories are routinely made up by people who invest way too much into college football.

Well, we're putting a curse on your War Eaglette, er, Kitty, oh the Plainsboys.

Mark it down: Auburn...will...not...win...the...West...this...year. I have spoken it. So let it be done!

With that pathetic weak arse schedule they have, if he doesn't win it this year they should fire his arse on the spot. No excuse for Georgia not to win the natty this year.

Well, I saw what took place with my own eyes. I had no intention of mentioning that story until I saw the UGA poster talking about the oaks at Toomer's corner.

Harvey Updyke is actually a perfect example of a fan who has way too much invested in the outcome of college football. Similar to the UGA fan that flipped out on his family at Quiktrip. Relating an event that I witnessed with my own eyes isn't indicative of being over-invested in college football. If anything, what I posted was a warning of where such zealotry can lead, and that's why I posted about it.

There's nothing I can say that will convince you of my honesty. That's fine. Maybe you'll take something away from this thread anyway. I should've known the reaction I'd get to a joke about Uga X because I should've known most Georgia fans would immediately react instead of wondering if a dog can even get malaria. Malaria doesn't even exist in the United States anymore and was eradicated here almost 70 years ago. That, too, is something I shouldn't have assumed that UGA fans would know.

When did Gene Chizik win his natty again? So, yeah, might want to realize that prior results early in a career do not guarantee future success.
It does at UGA. But they already said they are happy with the division title every now and then.

Probably not, but then again he is it blatantly cheating like Kirby is these days. Stories all over Atlanta about his dirty arse tricks. No program that has a lack of championship pedigree like UGA can rack up that many 5 star recruits without cheating their arse off.

Like I said, Georgia fans have a very strong prepredisposition to violence. Multiple Georgia fans in this thread have now provided additional examples of how quickly Georgia fans resort to violence or threats of violence.

Have you lost your mind? Yes, you have!

Sure am glad you're not naming names because you'd be very close to committing slander. But, to say the things you're saying is descriptive of a mind with a lot of loose hot wires with nothing to connect them to.

You need to see a psychiatrist. However, I'll be glad to assist in saving you the money and giving you your diagnosis right here.

I think they will and it wouldn’t surprise me if it’s this year. Talent wise they’re on par now with Bama. Secondly I don’t think anyone save Bama can slow them down from running the ball with the horses they have on the line and in the backfield. Good luck on beating a team that runs for 300 yards every game regardless of the opponent.

Yep he certainly pushed for it and Mcgarity knew his arse was on the line if he didn't give Kirby what he wanted.

And it was this very thing that Richt had begged them to do while he was there and they kept denying him (Kirby knew all about this, hence, his demands for it or else).

"If"....I guess we just have to take your word for it because you are such and upstanding individual, right? And if we don't believe that, all we have to do is ask you and you would tell us.

Since you decided to leave this out of your story...how did you know he was a georgia fan? I mean...if I saw some nondescript guy doing something bad in Alabama, should I guess he was an Auburn fan?

Or maybe, if I saw a news report about some Auburn football players with guns robbing some people in a trailer park...would that absolutely prove that all Auburn football players tend towards robbing people in trailer parks?

All Auburn football players apparently rob trailer parks

You do realize what you sound like when you repeat stuff like this?

I mean, how would anybody know this? Do you think Kirby or any other coach goes around advertising that they pay players?

I mean, how do YOU know this?

Let me guess.....you heard, right?

Wasn't it Auburn who gave their coach a $49 million extension after winning the division?
