You people are really angry, and all I've done is provided some valuable statistical trend analysis based on previous years.

You people?

Man, I know LSU fans are annoying, but keep your racism shite on Stormfront.

I live less than a mile from the stadium and can see it from the front of my neighborhood. We had 1.5 of rain on Thursday , 3.25 Friday and .5 after midnight. You have no clue what you are talking about.

Thank you. That's extremely useful information for the upcoming SEC investigation. Now we know they were even tapping into fire hydrants in residential areas to make sure they could soak the field.

I'd be furious that I was part of the collateral damage if I was you. What if a house had caught on fire in your subdivision Saturday morning and all the hydrants were in use?

We're talking manslaughter charges if that indirectly led to someone's death -- murder if it directly did. People joke about programs getting the death penalty for cheating, but LSU is taking it to extremes when death penalty actually refers to potential criminal charges.

I'm sure there have been plenty of those kinds of threads.

But, I also started a couple of penalty threads myself, and I laid the sarcasm on so heavy it was like cold syrup dripping out of the bottle. Generally speaking, not that many LSU fans realized it was parody, but fans of other teams typically got the joke.

I make fun of stupid Auburn fans all the time. There's a number of self-aware LSU fans here, thankfully. You seem to one of them.

I know football is serious business for some people, but if I'm not laughing about a loss an hour after the game ends then I know I need to take a break. Gus has brought me to that point a couple of times before, but I had zero expectations this year, so I'm just enjoying the ride.

Good luck vs Bama.

I'm sure he'll apologize anytime now...
See. Look how horrible the field conditions must've been for Big Kat to slip down like that. Pretty much confirms that firehoses were used to wet the field.
You obviously didn't read my posts yesterday or today. I fully expected Auburn to lose.

I'm actually being extremely good natured about it. Evidently sarcasm is no longer appreciated here, or some LSU fans can't laugh at themselves.

I've made several serious posts in other threads. I think it was a good game and Burrow played incredibly well considering the pressure he was under. If anything, LSU only scoring 23 was the result of some poor playcalling, and some bad gambles by the coaches. Burrow was lights out fantastic.

I've already said more than 20 times today that Auburn lost because of poor execution and for no other reason.

I have friends that are big donors to TAF, and I hang out with a number of LSU fans offline. They all have better senses of humor than some of the LSU posters here that are getting legitimately upset about parodying how some LSU fans melt after a tough loss.
They somehow think the QB who's 4th in QBR is going to leapfrog all the other Heisman contenders because MUH LSU.

Bottom line, LSU got the W and Auburn got yet another L.

You mean LSU got the W*

There will always be an asterisk in the record book for yesterday's game.
What's funny is how some LSU fans are so conspiracy prone and whiny that they can't even identify obvious parody of their own BS.
Seems just as plausible as a non-working AC being responsible for LSU's struggles vs a mediocre Texas team.
David Crum from Kent State, Kyle Trask from Florida, and Garrett Shrader from Mississippi State all put up better QB numbers vs Auburn than Burrow did. More yards per attempt, more touchdowns (Crum tied Burrow with just 1 TD), and less interceptions.

Then you have to adjust Burrow's numbers to take into account that LSU's offensive line brazenly held on probably 30 out of Burrow's 42+ dropbacks.

Mississippi State and Florida also scored as many (or more) points against Auburn as LSU did.

More intriguing is the tidbit I picked up from an AU source who attended the game. It rained less than a quarter of an inch in Baton Rouge on Saturday morning (before 6am), and there was only around an inch of rain on Thursday and Friday. Yet the field looked like it had received 5+ inches of rain and was in piss poor shape.

There's a strong suspicion that LSU wet the field repeatedly with fire hoses so they could slow down Auburn's pass rush. Dunno if that's true, but Auburn had been told the field had good drainage and had to scramble to adjust footwear after warm-ups.

No. Auburn lost because of poor offensive execution.
Right. At worst. At best? Burrow gets sacked.

I agree there was a bad PI call on LSU. The refs also missed multiple holds that went in LSU's favor as did the 3rd down and goal spot, and that late 3rd down forward progress spot that had to be reviewed.

No one is pretending that LSU didn't have a few bad calls -- penalty or otherwise -- during the game.

And I've already said it elsewhere, but Auburn has their opportunities and blew almost all of them. That's not on anyone but Auburn.

However, it is true that from about the 2nd quarter through the end of the 3rd quarter that LSU's O-line was holding with reckless abandon. Spare me the bullshite about there being holding on every play. Everyone is well aware of that. What people don't like is when there are multiple blatant and egregious holds that don't get called.

The officiating didn't cost Auburn the game. Their execution on offense, particularly at the QB position, is what cost them the game.

But, for LSU fans to pretend like they didn't get away with some egregious holds is beyond ridiculous. If a team had kept holding a stellar LSU D-line like LSU did to Auburn's, there'd be a GoFundMe with 100k in for billboards on the front page of the Rant right now.

I think all most people are saying is to stop being fricking hypocrites.

Not sure why they never tried PA on those short downs. Definitely would've been a good way to catch Auburn off-guard and force them not to sell out so much on 3rd/4th and short.

LSU's playcalling and risk-taking was pretty marginal at times.

You should definitely go call Charles Barkley a fig to his face.

I've been replying to LSU fans all morning.

But, I only reply to one fig each thread. Congrats, you were finally selected.

Is that you Coach O? Can someone translate this post to English?

It's what LSU fans would do, right?

I certainly don't want Auburn fans to imply that we're somehow better than LSU fans. We'd better put the asterisk next to the win column, and get the billboards up, just to be on the safe side.

2019 Auburn at LSU*

Where should we place the asterisk whenever we list this game?

Only LSU fans should respond since they're the ones with the most experience using an * to notate all the games they've been cheated out of.

Want to make sure we get this right. LSU's extensive experience in this area should be quite useful.
