We haven’t been the same without Kiffin or Sark so it will be interesting to see how Bobo tries to continue the Dawg’s success….

Of course. He was the best assistant in CFB.

But we will be fine with Bobo. He was Co-OC last year and it’s the same playbook. Not to mention Bobo put up 42 PPG with Hutson Mason at QB

Not until the playoffs. I can’t imagine anyone on this schedule plus whomever the SECW decides to trot out there for the SECCG will be an issue.

He's the best oc we've ever had so..yeah. We will.

We won't suck but I hate it preemptively for bobo that the first 3rd down of the season we don't convert it'll be "you know monken would've got that". And it'll be that way the whole year

The word seems to be that Sark's offense made your defense soft.

Bennett had a good amount to do with some of those 3rd downs. I think UGA will miss his scrambling ability the most. Even if he was scrambling to throw, he made a lot of plays up with his feet.

Actually it was Kiffin’s offense, but Sark runs it too. I can see that. More than that….the miss on hiring Golding made our defense soft.

That's something I've been curious about. When Richt let him take over playcalling I'm sure he was using Richt's playbook, did Bobo continue using that playbook/terminology at CSU/SC/Auburn then drop it for Monken's when he got back to UGA?

Monken is an outstanding play caller. Of course, he will be missed.

Bobo put up great numbers as OC with much, much less talent. Four of the five OL are pre-season All-SEC. That never happened under Richt.

He'll also get more opportunities with the ball than previously.

Initially, but he definitely blossomed into his own style. Our record smashing offenses of 12/13/14 weren't anything like bobos early years.

Apparently, they’re keeping the same playbook & terminology, just with Bobo wrinkles. But now, Bobo’s working with a Smart defense.

As long as players execute like they have been, it’s all good.

They’ll be a top offense.

Bobo's last season at UGA was 41.3 ppg in 2014.

Monken in 2021 was 38.6 ppg.

Monken (with Bobo on staff) was 41.1 ppg.

Bobo in 2023?

It's Nick Saban getting too old to keep up with the younger HCs. Take it and move on.

I find this topic interesting and it’s the same opposing pov on Stetson.

Two years ago Monken sucked and Stetson sucked per the OP

Now, GA can’t win without either of them

Sure we will. Monken seemed to be able to form a good offenses around the talent he had.

That said, Bobo did a really good job when he was at Georgia before. He will probably continue the overall offense that Monken designed, but we are hearing (who knows how true) that we will be utilizing the WRs on down field passes a bit more with Bobo.

For me, it will be interesting to see how Bobo evolves the offense. A stagnant offense gets caught up with, and usually begins to struggle a bit.

I mean, maybe, but I don't remember Legionfield trolling us about Bennett/Monken.

I can't say definitively he did not, because so many did, butt...
