No, LSU is not nearly as important or respected as you think they are.

Lol @ Arkansas rushing the field and having the field rushed on them in the same season. What a shite show.

Not only that, but we've NEVER rushed our field after a win. Alabama is the only other SEC program that hasn't.

Yes we have. I think it was FSU in 1981. I can't find any articles to confirm, but I am pretty sure we started putting cops all around the stadium shortly after that.

We also rushed the field in Jax in the mid 80's I believe and someone brought a crossbar from one of the goalpost back to Gainesville.

So, not rushing the field makes you a Big 2? I would bet there are plenty of very bad teams that have never rushed the field. they would probably love to, but they never have the opportunity.

It was 1984 after the 27-0 arse whippin of the dwags. They also took parts of the goal post to the top of the old Gator Bowl and threw them over the top.

It broke the streak of 6 straight defeats. And don't worry, we whip that dwag on the regular now so we could care less about storming the field in Jax.

Have you seen what Florida Highway Patrol does to field rushers???

It's not because of hallowed ground. They literally whip your arse with nightsticks!

At least back in the day.

I thought we rushed the field in Tallahassee not Gainesville? We've definitely rushed the field at other stadiums.

Exactly...
I got to UF in 1982 and I was shocked how the police hog tied anyone stepping on the field. There was always that "one guy" that had to try them and everyone saw him get treated like an inmate in Singapore.

Alabama fans not only rushed the field, but tore down the goal posts after beating Ohio State in the Sugar Bowl, thinking they had won the 1977 national title.

Alabama

Fans have never rushed the field at Bryant-Denny Stadium. The Crimson Tide fans stick by the “act like you’ve been there before” mantra, apparently.

Yet they rushed their other home field. Easy stat to put up when they didnt play most of their games there....

They also rushed Legion after beating Auburn

Lightning delays the cops leave the field. Against Ohio during the Urban era, one streaker was running around for several minutes. Crowd was cheering for him until he got taken down.
