We don't have a deep in-state talent pool to lean on.

Go look at the top 10 in Arkansas, there are fricking 2-stars in the top 10.

Look at the rankings list you posted. Think you can pick out the One Trick Pony? Of course you can.

But how will that assertion be defended? We finished higher in the final voting than you did. And it's all predicated not on the stomping they took HTH, it's the egg we laid in the Sugar. No skin. No leg to stand on.

When he takes the Auburn job in a couple of years he may get a couple.

Arkansas has consistently ranked among the top offenses in the SEC since Petrino's first season in 2008. However, the defense has struggled at times to keep up — allowing 31.2 points per game in 2008 and 25.1 in 2009. The Razorbacks started to see defensive improvement last season, lowering the average to 23.4 points per game. Much of their success came as a result of a defensive line that helped lead the way to 37 quarterback sacks, second in the SEC behind South Carolina's 41.

There is a positive trend here, but I ask, how many of these D-line return this season. Obviously, offense is not a concern.

You aren't too familiar with clauses in BP's contract.

9 of 11 starters return on defense this year and all of the two deep but one on the D-Line return this year.

All. BTW, the same was said last year when Malcolm Sheppard graduated after the 2009 season. Big drop off expected. We rose in the statistics.

I like how some people think it should be easy to steal players from Florida and Georgia and places like that, because Alabama and Auburn does it.

Well, for one, we're a hell of a lot further away than those schools. Lonnie Gosha and Jakarri Thomas is the only ones I can remember that we've stolen from the Florida schools.

It's not like we stole our current commits from ULL and LaTech. From off the top of my head Auburn, Alabama, LSU, TCU, Ole Miss, Miss St, Miami, Tennessee, Michigan, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, North Carolina, Clemson, Stanford have all offers one of our commits one way or the other.

Will be interesting to see how it pans out. With a nasty defense, ark could make some noise. Their schedule doesn't stack up well, but I would be lying if I said Ark doesn't scare me in TTown.

ETA: After a second glance @ LSU & @ BAMA will be the only real tests.

Off the two deep on the defense line I think we only lose Damario Ambrose......

Petrino doesn't rely on Rivals/Scout star ratings to recruit players. If he recruits a 5*, it's because of his method of assessment re: talent and need, not because of their ratings.

This sounds like an excuse why your roster is loaded with 3 stars
