I told a friend at the beginning of the season when the Javon Robinson issue happened that it wouldn't surprise me if an unknown AU affiliate stirred up some dirt on Chizik and the coaching staff.

Turned some violations in to the NCAA and fire them all to keep from paying the buy out.

Ride the NCAA sanctions out as there will be a 1 or 2 year down time anyways from all the coaching changes.

This is how the AU "family" rolls.

"All In" when winning and turn on one another when you get a chance to come out on the good end of a bad deal.

As a matter of fact a I heard a credited media member mention the same thing a week or so ago that it wouldn't surprise him if the situation went down like it's going down now.

Wait is this what you got out of that article?

Pulling coaches off the recruiting trail for secondary violations is about as common as recruiting itself. Just google it. You'll even see violations from your beloved Alabama that prevented coaches from contacting recruits. But hey, you can spin it as a major thing if it makes you feel good.

Barrett Sallee ?@BarrettSallee Doubt Auburn's NCAA issues are going to be an issue in its coaching search. Way overblown, from what I'm told

I'd bet anything nothing ever becomes of this "investigation".

Is that the MSU excuse when probation hits?

Question: If he was fired before anything is proven, does that void the "cause"?

No, and they wouldnt stop his buyout payments until actual sanctions were imposed, which would be at least a year or more, as the NCAA does not move very fast.

I was wondering with an investigation ongoing how would that effect Auburns ability to hire a coach. Would a good coach want the job not knowing what he may be walking into? I think Chizick will be let go if at all later rather than sooner or at least that is what I would do to maintain some leadership until the word actually comes down on what if anything has occurred.

Aubie was the bagman. That was a stroke of genius there. Who would ever suspect that?

There is zero concern over "ncaa investigation". Zero. There is no "looming NCAA sanctions" and AU didn't turn themselves in to avoid a buyout etc. That is ignorant.

AU has the biggest "hushfund" in the nation.
