I think the better conversation is the seed they will get.

Barring an unlikely run, I see us as a 6-8 seed. I don't think we are a second weekend team this year, but, if we get past the first round, with how we have played against top competition this year, who really knows.

I say they squeak in just barely. I see them losing both games to UK, losing at LSU and possibly at home to Arkansas. They need to beat the other teams which is not a given. They will probably pull out a win over UK and Arkansas but then lose to Ole Miss and A&M or something like that.

Would be shocking if they did not.

They have good guards.

The maddening thing about this Alabama team is that a run is nearly as likely as a collapse.

Ie: what losses can really start to outweigh the big wins?

The only road games against "bad" teams we have left are Ole Miss and Vanderbilt. If we lost both of those games we'd certainly not be doing ourselves any favors.

We haven't lost any bad games at home - we are 20-1 over the last 21 home games and 10-1 this season with the only loss by 4 to the #1 ranked team.

They will not be a 6 seed unless they start a win streak which is unlikely. I can see 8 or below.

Alabama is going to continue to play well at home. Probably beat Kentucky there on Saturday, and probably also win out at home.

It’s the road games that are questionable for Alabama.

Read up on the NET, then get back to me Selection committee going to factor a lot of at large bids for teams with high NET rankings after automatics fill spots and adjust for seedings.

I don't like the game Saturday for us matchup wise, but nothing will surprise me.

We won't win at Rupp. We will be revved up at LSU and matchup pretty well with them. So that leaves you with Ole Miss/Vanderbilt, which are just prime comparatives to the 2 terrible games we've already played and lost. We'll see if we've grown up at all. Probably not.

Alabama is ranked between #18 and 25 in basically every metric, both "how good are you" and "what is your resume" in college basketball

I know you'd prefer they use the Iron Puppets Top 25, but unfortunately the committee generally sticks to the classics.

If they win the home games and pull out wins against the mediocre teams left I can see them as a 6 seed. I just don't see it happening based on how they've performed so far.

I think you guys have a distorted view about the resumes of teams that get the upper middle seeds

Just get the ball to JQ and JS. Keep them on the court all game if you have to. JDD just seems like a deer in the headlights too much. You can tell he’s not used to the competition level in big time college hoops just yet after playing 2A ball in Alabama.

I think Alabama’s biggest weakness is down low. The 4/5 need to get better so they don’t have to rely so heavily on guard play.

So you are convinced they are a Top 25 team ? A team that lost to Missour and UGA within a week.
